Best 3Fun Alternatives in 2026 (Honest Picks)
The best apps like 3Fun are Feeld for the biggest open-minded crowd, SDC for swinger couples who want events and travel, and 3way or 3rder if you want something that works almost exactly like 3Fun with a shared couple setup. If you live outside a big city, OkCupid with a non-monogamous profile will usually show you more real people than any niche app, and bisexual singles and couples should try BiCupid.
Below: the eight apps like 3Fun side by side with what each costs on the US App Store (checked October 2026), who each one suits and its catch, the renewal trap that most of these apps share, and how to leave 3Fun without paying for another month.
Apps like 3Fun compared
Ratings are out of 5 and come from my reviews, linked in each row; apps without a review on the site yet are marked “not rated”. Prices checked October 2026 on each app’s US App Store listing, linked in the sections below.
| App | Best for | Cheapest monthly plan | Free version | Couples | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feeld | The biggest ENM and kink pool | Majestic $29.99 for 30 days | Connect, chat, send photos, link partners | Linked profiles, up to 5 partners | 4 |
| SDC | Swinger couples, parties, travel | $26.99 (couples, women), $32.99 (men) | 3-day trial | Couple profiles | 3.5 |
| 3way | The closest 3Fun look-alike | Premium $15.99 | Free to download and use | Filter by couple type (FM, FF, MM) | Not rated |
| 3rder | A smaller 3Fun-style second app | VIP $24.99 (also listed at $14.99) | Free download, paid VIP | Couples and singles | Not rated |
| OkCupid | Small towns, solo ENM daters | Premium items from $7.99 | Free app, Premium optional | One person per profile | 4 |
| BiCupid | Bisexual singles and couples | $33.99 | Free download, paid plans | Couples welcome | 4 |
| Swing Lifestyle | Long-running swinger community | $24.99 | Free download, paid plans | Couples and groups | 3.5 |
| Pure | Anonymous, short-lived chats | $29.99 a month or $13.49 a week | None: subscribe to get in | Not built for it | 3.5 |
For reference, 3Fun’s own VIP costs $29.99 a month or $39.99 for three months on the 3Fun App Store listing. 3way and OkCupid are the only picks here that come in clearly cheaper per month.
Why people look for an app like 3Fun
3Fun is a dating app for open-minded singles and couples: threesomes, swinging and open relationships, with one shared couple account, group chats and free messaging with your matches. It is not short of fans. It has 4.4 stars from 151K ratings on the App Store and 4.3 stars from 63.5K reviews on Google Play, with 1M+ downloads (October 2026). In my 3Fun review I found the couple features great for partners, but key features need a paid membership and the user base is not all that massive, which is why I rate it 3 out of 5. People who search for something else usually have one of these reasons:
- Too few people nearby. 3Fun’s App Store listing names its busiest US cities (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix and other big metros). Outside places like those, couples write about empty feeds on every niche app, not just 3Fun.
- The paywall. Per 3Fun’s FAQ, unlimited likes, 5 Pokes a week to message people before matching, read receipts, incognito, hiding your distance and browsing another city are all VIP.
- Bugs. Even 3Fun’s own blog admits matches and messages occasionally disappear and photos sometimes have to be uploaded again.
- Too many couples, too few singles. Every app in this niche has more couples looking for a third than single women looking for couples. A second app widens the pool.
- A different scene. Some people want swinger parties, some want a poly community, some just want to stay anonymous.
Pick the 3Fun alternative that fits you
Start from your situation rather than from the biggest download count:
- If you are a couple in a big city and want more people: Feeld, and keep 3Fun as a second app.
- If you swing and want parties, clubs and travel dates: SDC, or Swing Lifestyle as a cheaper second option.
- If you like how 3Fun works and just want another pool: 3way, then 3rder.
- If you live in a smaller city or a rural area: OkCupid set to non-monogamous, each partner on their own profile.
- If you are bisexual and dating as a single or a couple: BiCupid. My apps for bisexual dating ranking has more.
- If privacy matters most: Pure.
- If you are a throuple or a polycule: Feeld, which links up to five partner profiles.
1. Feeld: the biggest pool for open-minded dating
Feeld is where most people go after 3Fun, and the one I would try first. It has 4.3 stars from 102K ratings on its App Store listing, offers 20+ gender identities and 20+ sexualities, and covers everything from threesomes to kink to long-term polyamory. Its free membership page says free members can browse and connect, send chats, images and short videos to connections, and link their profile with their partners.
How couples work: there is no shared couple account. Each partner keeps their own profile and you link them in a “Constellation” of up to 5 partners, per Feeld’s Constellations help page. Connections and chats are not shared between partners, but you can start group chats, and you show up for people searching for couples.
What it costs: Majestic is $29.99 for 30 days, $49.99 for 90 days or $149.99 for a year; single Pings (messages before connecting) are $2.99. Each linked partner needs their own Majestic to use paid features, so a couple who both upgrade pay twice. My Feeld vs 3Fun comparison does that math. Visit Feeld.
Who it suits: couples and singles in big cities, poly people, kink-curious daters. The catch: two profiles to manage for a couple, and it thins out fast outside major metros. My Feeld review rates it 4 out of 5.
2. SDC: best for swinger couples who want events
SDC is a swinger community more than a swipe app, and members of a lifestyle Facebook group answering a question about 3Fun call it one of their go-to apps. Its App Store listing lists a travel calendar to see who is visiting your area, a directory of local social events, event planning tools, forums, group and video messaging, and who has viewed your profile. It has 4.6 stars from 13K ratings.
What it costs: a month is $26.99 for couples and women and $32.99 for men; a year is $134.99 and $164.99. There is a 3-day trial with full access, and plans renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. My SDC review rates it 3.5 out of 5.
Who it suits: couples who already swing, or want to, and like meeting at parties and on trips. The catch: single men pay more, and it is a community site with a learning curve, not a quick swipe.
3. 3way: the closest thing to 3Fun
3way, from 3way Limited, is built for the same people 3Fun is: couples and singles looking for open-minded matches. Its App Store listing describes a search you can filter by couple type (FM, FF or MM), a “Show” feed where couples and singles post about their lifestyle, and a card game called Cupid. It has 4.6 stars from 31K ratings, and on Google Play 4.5 stars from 26.6K reviews, 1M+ downloads and in-app photo verification (October 2026). Nudity is banned.
What it costs: free to download and use; Premium is $15.99 for one month, $27.99 for three or $47.99 for six. That is about half of 3Fun’s monthly VIP price. Like 3Fun, the listing says you cannot cancel the current subscription during the active period.
Who it suits: couples who like 3Fun’s format and want a second pool for less money. The catch: I have not reviewed it yet, and the listing does not describe a shared couple login the way 3Fun does, so check how couple profiles work before paying.
4. 3rder: a smaller 3Fun-style second app
3rder (by 3rder Limited) connects couples and singles for dates or friendship. Its App Store listing says every profile is reviewed to cut fake accounts, names its popular US cities (San Diego, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC) and shows 4.8 stars from 20K ratings. It is listed for iPhone only on the App Store.
What it costs: the description lists VIP at $24.99 for one month, $39.99 for three and $49.99 for six. The in-app purchase list also shows a one-month membership at $14.99 and three months at $34.99, so check the price on the payment screen. No cancellation of the current period is allowed.
Who it suits: couples who want one more app next to 3Fun. The catch: a much smaller pool than 3Fun or Feeld, and confusing pricing. Treat it as an add-on, not a replacement.
5. OkCupid: best outside the big cities
OkCupid is a mainstream app, but its non-monogamy setting makes it the most useful backup when niche apps have nobody near you. Its non-monogamy help page says that if you set your profile as non-monogamous, “you will see only other people who are non-monogamous or open to non-monogamy”. It has 4.3 stars from 289K ratings on the App Store, and Premium items run from $7.99 to $59.99 (plan lengths are not labeled on the listing). Visit OkCupid.
Who it suits: solo ENM daters, and couples in smaller cities who are fine each running their own profile. The catch: OkCupid allows one person per profile and deletes, or may ban, couple or joint profiles that get reported. It also bans sexually oriented first messages. Say who your partner is and whether you date together in your profile text. My OkCupid review rates it 4 out of 5.
6. BiCupid: best for bisexual singles and couples
BiCupid is a bisexual and bicurious dating app for singles and couples. Its App Store listing shows 4.0 stars from 2.1K ratings and welcomes bisexual, gay, lesbian and transgender members.
What it costs: $33.99 for one month, $69.99 for three or $109.99 for six, the priciest monthly plan on this page. The listing says no cancellation of the current period is allowed. My BiCupid review rates it 4 out of 5.
Who it suits: bisexual women and men who are tired of being treated as a couple’s accessory, and bi couples looking for other bi people. The catch: the price, and a smaller app store following than 3Fun.
7. Swing Lifestyle: a long-running swinger community
Swing Lifestyle (SLS) says it has been running since 2001 for couples, singles and groups. Its App Store listing shows 4.1 stars from 5.2K ratings, and a one-month recurring subscription at $24.99 that includes full access to the website. The in-app list also has longer memberships, up to lifetime options at $149.99 and $199.99. My Swing Lifestyle review rates it 3.5 out of 5.
Who it suits: couples who want an established swinger site with a website and an app. The catch: it feels like a classic community site rather than a modern swipe app, and the many membership options are easy to mix up.
8. Pure: best for anonymous, short-lived chats
Pure works around personal ads: you post one to see the feed. Per its App Store listing, photos self-destruct right after being seen, you get a notification if someone takes a screenshot, chat media cannot be saved to the phone, and the system sends warnings on words scammers use. It has 4.3 stars from 87K ratings.
What it costs: “you have to subscribe to get inside”: $13.49 a week or $29.99 a month. My Pure review rates it 3.5 out of 5.
Who it suits: singles and experienced couples who know what they want and keep their private life private. The catch: no free look before paying, and no couple features.
Other apps worth a look
- 3Somer (Open Dating Media) is another couples-and-singles app with 4.5 stars from 10K ratings; its App Store listing prices premium at $15.49 a month or $99.99 a year, with no mid-period cancellation.
- Kasidie and Adult Friend Finder are older adult and swinger networks; my reviews rate them 3 and 3.8.
- Fab Swingers is another swinger site; my review rates it 3 out of 5.
- FetLife is a kink social network, not a dating app, but poly forums recommend it for local events and munches. See my FetLife alternatives for more.
The full list is in my swinger dating sites category, poly-first apps are in the polyamory and ENM dating apps guide, and if Feeld is the app you are leaving instead, read my Feeld alternatives. The dating app alternatives hub covers other switches.
What the top results get wrong about 3Fun alternatives
The list that ranks highest for this search is published by 3Fun itself, and a few of its claims do not match the other apps’ own pages in October 2026.
- OkCupid and couples. It credits OkCupid with “partner profile linking”. OkCupid’s help center says it allows one person per profile and removes joint profiles; you mention a partner in your profile text.
- #open. It recommends #open, and so does Google’s AI answer. The App Store and Google Play links on hashtagopen.com both returned “not found” in October 2026. Search the store yourself before planning around it. My older #open review describes the app as it was.
- 3rder’s price. It gives 3rder about $14.99 a month. That price appears in 3rder’s purchase list, but its own description says $24.99 for one month.
What switching really costs: the no-cancel clause
Many couples try two or three of these apps at once, and that is where money leaks. The 3Fun, 3way, 3rder, 3Somer and BiCupid App Store listings all say, in nearly the same words, that you cannot cancel the current subscription during the active period. Turning off auto-renew stops the next charge; it does not end or refund the month you are in.
| App | Cheapest monthly plan | Renewal terms on the listing |
|---|---|---|
| 3Fun | $29.99 | Renews; no cancellation during the active period |
| 3way | $15.99 | Renews; no cancellation during the active period |
| 3rder | $24.99 (or $14.99) | Renews; no cancellation during the active period |
| BiCupid | $33.99 | Renews; no cancellation during the active period |
| Feeld | $29.99 | Cancel in the App Store; ends at the end of the period |
| SDC | $26.99 / $32.99 | Renews unless turned off 24 hours before the end |
| Pure | $13.49 a week | Renews unless cancelled 24 hours before the end |
Prices checked October 2026 on each app’s US App Store listing, linked above. The cheapest way to test: start on the free tiers (Feeld, 3Fun, 3way and OkCupid all let you match and chat), use SDC’s 3-day trial, and pay for one app at a time, monthly, once you see real people near you.
Before you switch: leave 3Fun the right way
3Fun’s FAQ is clear on one point that catches people out: “Deactivating/Deleting your profile doesn’t cancel your subscription.” Do it in this order.

- Cancel VIP in the store. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, 3Fun, Cancel. On Android: Play Store, your account, Subscriptions, 3Fun, Cancel. 3Fun says the app cannot cancel for you.
- Let the period run out. The App Store listing says no cancellation of the current subscription is allowed, so VIP stays on until the paid month or quarter ends.
- Clear what you shared. Delete chats you do not want kept (3Fun says deleting a chat is permanent) and remove private photos.
- Deactivate the profile. Under My Profile, Settings, Account. 3Fun keeps your data for six months while the profile is hidden; logging back in reactivates it, and after six months the data is permanently removed.
Safety and etiquette on threesome and swinger apps
Verification is uneven across these apps. 3Fun and 3way offer photo verification, 3rder says it reviews every profile, and Pure warns on scam trigger words. None of that proves the person is who they say, so:
- Video call before you meet. A 2-minute call with both partners on screen beats any badge.
- Stay in the app. The FTC warns that scammers move you off the platform quickly, always have a reason not to meet, then ask for money by gift card, wire, money transfer app or crypto. Never send money to someone you have not met. Report it in the app and at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
- Meet in public first. A bar or a café, your own transport, and a friend who knows where you are.
- Couples: be honest and mutual. Show both partners from the start, agree your rules before you match, and treat a third as a person with their own boundaries.
My guide to online dating scams covers the common patterns, and the online dating safety hub covers red flags and reporting.
How I ranked these apps
The ranking reflects how well each app serves people who use 3Fun (couples, singles who date couples, swingers), the size of its user base (App Store rating counts, October 2026), its prices and renewal terms, its couple features and its safety tools. Ratings come from my existing reviews of each app; 3way, 3rder and 3Somer have no review on the site yet and are unrated. This page is built from public information: the apps’ App Store and Google Play listings, help centers and terms, not from a hands-on test of each app.
Frequently asked questions
What are some dating apps similar to 3Fun?
The closest look-alikes are 3way and 3rder, which also match couples with singles. Feeld has the biggest open-minded crowd, SDC and Swing Lifestyle suit swinger couples, and OkCupid with a non-monogamous profile works best in smaller cities.
Is Feeld or 3Fun better?
Feeld has the bigger and broader community and a generous free tier, so most singles and anyone new to non-monogamy should start there. 3Fun is simpler for couples because one shared account and one VIP cover you both. Many couples run both.
Are there apps for throuples?
Yes. Feeld lets you link your profile with up to five partners in a Constellation, each keeping their own profile, and you can open group chats together. 3Fun also has group chats you can invite partners and matches into.
What kind of app is 3Fun?
3Fun is a dating app for open-minded singles and couples interested in threesomes, swinging and open relationships. Couples can share one account, matches can message for free, and VIP costs $29.99 a month on the US App Store (October 2026).
Why did I get banned from 3Fun?
3Fun's FAQ lists the reasons: a fake or inappropriate verification photo, nude photos in your profile album, certain inappropriate messages, or being under 18. Prohibited content can lead to a temporary or permanent block, and you can contact support@go3fun.co to ask about yours.
Can you screenshot on 3Fun?
Not shared private photos: 3Fun says screenshots are blocked on shared photos, and private photos are visible only to your matches. That protects images, not your safety, so still verify people with a video call before meeting.
