I love living in NYC because I'm surrounded by diversity, options, and creatives! One of my best friends is an artist, and knows alllll too well about my dating adventures. Next thing I know, she's explaining how Pure works and how it's different from other apps, and then before I know it - I'm on Pure!

My first impressions when I checked out pure.app was that it felt very millennial or Gen Z – bright, well designed, appealing language, and also offered mobile apps.

What is Pure app?

Pure app is a dating platform where people can post personal ads to find others with similar interests. While Pure might market itself as a dating platform, it's really more of a well designed hook-up site that focuses on anonymous casual exchanges. Unlike most apps, there is no algorithm here to keep the theme of spontaneous sex unless you take part in Devil's Bones.

The Pure dating app originally rolled out in the U.S. in October 2013 as a low-budget project that quickly turned to a viral hit.

You can also play Devil's Bones where Pure decides who to match you with. Aside from that, Pure deletes accounts every 24 hours to preserve anonymity.

So, final thoughts for my Pure dating app review

Pure is a really fun app for casual flings or even just a night of sexting. I really liked the audio chat and how anonymous everything is. I did have some successful matches via Devil's Bones and personal ads but nothing has stuck so far. Having to recreate my profile every 24 hours wasn't quite my speed.
