Now that 2023 is behind us and I've spent a lot of time thinking about my dating life, I've decided to keep my options VERY open when it comes to who may be a good match for me. I figured if I don't close off any dating sites right away, then it can increase my chances of connecting with someone, right? If I want to be open minded with my dating choices, then I definitely came to the right place with Feeld!
The Feeld app prides themselves on enhancing emotional and sexual relationships so that I can find like minded people through the practice of being open-minded. It's a place where both couples and singles can come together and share experiences that are new and exciting. As I was reading through other Feeld reviews to decide if I wanted to give it a shot, I realized there aren't too many progressive and inclusive apps like Feeld out there that also have a focus on user experience online, and community IRL.
Did I find my next date? Do the members live up to the standards of the app? Keep reading my Feeld review to find out!
What is Feeld and who is it for?
🎯An international dating app for couples and singles who are curious and seeking new experiences.
Feeld is an international dating app created by Ana Kirova and Dimo Trifonov, after they noticed a lack of ways for couples to explore sexually (whether alone or together).
You may remember Feeld by its original name, 3nder, back when it originally launched in 2014. Since then, 3nder has been rebranded with the new name Feeld, but the same open-minded concept of 3nder lives on, earning the app the nickname, "Tinder of threesomes".
Feeld is an exclusive app for those who want to explore their wild side, fetishes, and kinks, in an alternative setting where there are several different types of relationship styles. There are over 20 different sexuality and gender identities, so there truly is someone for everyone here! About ⅓ of all daters were coupled up, and 50% of the daters identified themselves as being other than hetero. Anyone is welcome to sign up on the Feeld dating app, but it is most often used by singles, couples, polyamorous people, queers, and kinksters ages 25-35!
Feeld is for,
✔️Curious singles looking for other singles or couples.
✔️Curious couples looking for singles or other couples.
✔️Users who are OK with mobile apps only (no desktop here!)
✔️Those looking for inclusivity. With 20+ sexuality and gender identities, this hits the mark!
✔️People looking for long term relationships, casual dating, or even platonic connections.
Feeld may not be for,
✖️Users not comfortable with ethical monogamy.
✖️Users who are just looking for straight, one-on-one relationships.
✖️Singles uncomfortable with experimentation, kinks or new experiences.
How does Feeld work?
If you're wondering how to use Feeld, know that it isn't your standard dating app, and it's determined to get that meaning across to its users!
Instead of the typical swiping left/right on a person to show whether you like them or not, Feeld uses the symbols of a minus sign and a heart to dislike/like a member. Members can write exactly what they are looking for on their profile, along with any kinks or fetishes such as FWB (friends with benefits), FFF (threesome where all parties identify as female), or MMM (threesome where everyone identifies as male).
Since there's no desktop version, you'll have to download the Feeld app to start the sign up process. Once you create your Feeld account, you can link your profile with your partner, if you have one. Feeld has a cool feature that lets you merge your profile with your SO's so that other daters know you're looking for an additional person (or people!) to play with!
To find Feeld users, you can use "Discover" and browse profiles. To start a convo with someone you're interested in, you need to match with the person or accept a ping - Feeld's version of flirting. You can only ping someone if you're a paying member, and you can't see a pic of who liked you or their full profile unless you pay up for a subscription.
Is Feeld legit?
✔️Yes!
The Feeld dating app is a legit way to meet other sexually fluid singles and couples and has a public founder that stands behind its message. Not only that, but they hold public events, social and talks to help foster community.
Feeld has a set of community guidelines to be followed, and if anyone violates those guidelines, users are encouraged to reach out to Feeld's support team. In fact, there's a whole safety page dedicated to different scenarios and how they handle them as a company. They also delete profiles that have been inactive for over a year to keep the user base fresh and active.
One thing I really loved is that before meeting someone in person, you have the option to video chat with that user to authenticate their legitimacy before you see them IRL! This takes a lot of the uncertainty out of making the leap from screen to real life.
If you're still not sure how legit Feeld is, you can check out some events Feeld hosts under the "Experiences" section. Then you can choose an event to attend with a group of people if that makes you feel safer.
📝 The TL;DR on the Feeld app
Feeld.co offers a refreshing alternative to casual dating that I really appreciated. Here's what I noticed about the Feeld dating app as I started trying it out:
- Upfront way to explore your sexuality in a supportive community.
- The user demographic is mostly between 25-35 years old, though there were quite a few users outside these age ranges.
- Seems like most users are looking for casual flings, spicy hookups, threesomes, and poly exploration.
- TONS of sexual/gender prefs available, such as two-spirit, gender questioning, etc.
- Feeld has a big focus on privacy and safety.
- You have to use an app – no desktop version!
- Because this is a mobile app, remember to cancel your subscription from your mobile account if needed.
How to delete Feeld account: It's pretty easy! Open the Feeld app -> click on "Settings" -> "App Settings" -> scroll alllll the way down until you get to "Delete My Account" -> and then you know what to do! Pro tip: Make sure you don't have a recurring subscription via your mobile device as well. You'll have to cancel that to prevent it from renewing within 24 hours!
What does the "M" mean on someone's profile?: If you see an "M" appear on a user's profile, it means they have purchased the Majestic membership, and are transitioning from a basic user to a Majestic user.
Is Feeld free to use?: There's a free Feeld account that you can use, but some features are limited! To get the full experience, you'll want to upgrade.
What are Feeld 'virtual locations'? Feeld virtual locations are remote spots where people can connect over similar interests. You can find this in "Search Settings" under "My Location." Here's some of the virtual locations that are currently available:
- Remote trios - for those looking for threesomes.
- Fantasy Bunker - skip the convo, go straight for the fantasy.
- Staying at Home - connect with people from all over without leaving the comfort of your own home!
- Feeld Popular Locations - cities where Feeld is popular in such as Copenhagen, Paris, and New York.
Is Feeld just for couples?: No, bb! The Feeld app is for singles, couples, and everyone in between.
Is there a Feeld app to use?
📲Yes! Android & iOS.
Yes there is a Feeld app to use! Both Android and iOS users can share in the fun, but there is no desktop version in case you were wondering.
So, my thoughts on the Feeld dating app?
All in all, I really enjoyed this app and the non-judgmental community that it helped to create. If your main goal is to play the "Feeld" - (sorry I had to!) then it may be worth it for you to look into the Majestic Membership to get your money's worth. If you can date without the polyamorous aspect, then you might be better off sticking with the free version as there seems to be a heavy poly presence on Feeld.
As far as the app itself, it's simple and intuitive. I like that it didn't have an overwhelming amount of features, but I didn't really enjoy having a "you can pay for this" pop up occur frequently when exploring the app at first.
As I was browsing and using Feeld, the majority of the profiles seemed real and people were pretty active! Feeld seems to do a decent job of keeping out spam and fake users so you have a better chance of connecting with someone real.
Well, like I always say - the more, the merrier! Feeld gets my vote.
