I'm usually the wildcard in my group of gal pals and the one who's always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to dating. So it's no surprise that I found myself venturing into the world of swinger dating apps - a topic that would certainly raise some eyebrows if I brought it up casually over our mimosa-filled brunches depending on who was there. 😂So instead, I spent a bit of time one evening with my partner (aka, my glass of wine) looking for new dating apps I haven't tried yet.

Even though I'm solo, the app's "Couple Mode" feature for partners to team up looked neat, and there seemed to be an emphasis on privacy and security which I love. Swinging, or being involved in any scenario where it's more than just you and the other person, is very vulnerable tbh, so the privacy aspect really attracted me.

I'm in a big city though so your mileage may vary!

Is 3Fun legit?

3Fun felt legit in my experience. User profiles are regularly monitored by the support team, while idle or suspicious accounts are closed. Most of the profiles I saw looked real, and I didn't get bombarded with fake messages or bot accounts as soon as I signed up!!
The app also has some good safety features, like the ability to verify your photos and link your account with a partner.
It's worth noting something I came across when researching the app, and looking at 3Fun reviews before I signed up – 3Fun has had some security issues in the past. In 2019, the app suffered a data breach that exposed sensitive user info like locations, birthdays, and chat logs. 😬 The 3Fun team says they've since beefed up their security measures, but it's still something to be aware of!
So, final thoughts for my 3Fun dating app review?
Overall, I've gotta give my 3Fun review a solid 8.5/10. The interface is intuitive, the couple features are great for partners, and there are decent security measures in place.
Profiles are regularly monitored for suspicious activities, which significantly reduces the chances of bumping into scammers. Though it doesn't make the site 100% safe, keep an eye out for incomplete profiles or users that act weirdly (i.e., want to rush meetups or exchange sensitive personal details)
The main downsides are that you'll need a paid membership to access some key features, and the app has had some security hiccups in the past. Also, the user base isn't all that massive though, so you might have to contend with slightly lower attention than you would on bigger apps. I'd love to see a more balanced gender ratio and maybe a few more search options as well.
I can't help but feel that 3Fun tries to mimic Tinder in a couple of ways, which is a good thing, especially since the swipe-like feature is something almost all people using dating apps are familiar with! But overall, 3Fun is a brilliant little swingers dating app if you're looking to try out new stuff with your partner or even alone (like me!).
