Ever get a little bored with the dating scene? Even though I'm meeting lots of interesting people, I still feel the need to mix up how I'm meeting them. I was talking about this to one of my friends, and they suggested I try out 99Flavors.com as an alternative to the standard vanilla flavor I've been getting sick of.
99Flavors caught my attention immediately by claiming it’s the hottest sex site for adventurous couples and has an international, sex positive community! They also claim to have millions of members worldwide, so after being on some niche dating sites with smaller user bases, this was music to my ears. After reading a few 99Flavors reviews to see what I was getting myself into, I signed up!

The 99Flavors dating site was created in 1996, so it has almost 30 years of experience under its belt. Ohh, and you might know some of their sister sites as well: Alt.com, Outpersonals.com, and Cams.com, for example.
As far as members, I received a lot of messages and friend requests from legitimate looking profiles.
My first impression of the 99Flavors was pretty spot on - "this looks like it got stuck in the 90's" - which makes sense since it was created in 1996! Here's some other quick facts to know about the 99Flavors dating site:
I always have questions, so naturally I have some when it comes to 99Flavors (like is it calorie free? J/K!). Here's what I needed to know:
How to delete 99Flavors account: Just click on your username, then “my account”, scroll to “manage account” and click on "close account.” Simple!

What is the 99 Flavor’s ‘Purity Test’?: This is a fun quiz you can take to show how naughty or nice you have been! You can then send your score to others for an interesting ice breaker!
Can I change the NSFW images in the 99Flavors feed?: Yessss! Thankfully. Just click your user name on the top right, and you have a few options for how much nudity you want to see.
Is there a 99Flavors free trial?: There didn’t appear to be a free trial when I signed up BUT, don’t fret! There’s a free account you can use to try out some features and see if you like their method of match making and members!

The signup process for 99Flavors.com was no-fuss, no frills, and super easy!
Here's the steps I took to get registered:
1. The first step is the obvi one - start the process by filling out the uber simple registration form right on their homepage! The gender options are inclusive, but could be a bit more extensive.
I do find it interesting that I can sign up as a group or couple! I also like how I can select more than answer when it comes to who I'm looking for, so I’m not stuck with one option.
2. Next step is to enter my DOB, country, and zip code. I'm impressed by the extensive list of countries to choose from! This is truly an international dating site with members from all over the globe.
3. Then, I create my account by entering my email and coming up with a creative username and password. So far, I'm on a good pace!
4. Gotta add some more info about me! The usual suspects are available here: race, sexual orientation, marital status, and body type. I can only select one answer per field, and the answers could use a lil’ more creativity.
5. I’m required to come up with an intro title, but it's optional to tell others about myself. Luckily there's a handy "writing ideas" tool to help me out if I get writer's block!
The “writing ideas” is something I’ve seen on other dating platforms. It’s nice because it gives you some kickstarters if you aren’t sure what to include.
After that step, it was strange because it made me go through the process AGAIN, but with a different layout.
6. Here I had to enter in who I am and who I’m looking for.
7. Then, I enter my personal info (if you choose couples, you’ll have to enter your partner’s birthday too.)
8. Next, my user name, email and PW just like before.
9. Then, my sexual orientation, body type, race and marital status.
10. Then back to the page that asks me to write my bio. 🤔
I'm dropped into the main feed, and all I can say is: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! Tons of spicy pics here so definitely NSFW! This can be changed by clicking your username on the top right and changing to “No Nudity.”
The main feed was very busy and if you’ve tried any other sites in this dating network, you’d see the resemblance. Though cluttered, I could get to basically everything I would need to start browsing matches! You can also see how many NSFW pics are in the feed, so this def is a “browse at home” kind of dating site.

Here's just SOME of what I could filter my searches by for a basic search:
The advanced search option was a whole ‘nother ball game. Here, I could search for anything that was in someone’s profile. Here’s just a small screenshot of the advanced search screen, beyond the basic information:
You have everything from appearance, whether they're a Gold/verified/confirmed member etc, how they swing (whether or not they’ll have sex with others, or just want touching, for example), their astrological sign, Chinese zodiac sign, education, and more.
99Flavors also lets the algo gods do their jobs and match you with potential hookups! You can update your settings for matches under “My Stuff” and “Cupid Preferences” which is fairly basic – it lets you choose who you’re looking for (including couples), age range, location, race, body type, sexual orientation, and marital status.
Using this, 99Flavors will then pull matches into your “New Matches” section for you to check out!
There’s more! You canalsouse their quick search options in the top nav under “Search” to see who’s online, who’s on IM (if you want to chat with someone ASAP and can’t wait!), new matches, members near you, VIP members, “Hot or Not” (one of my fave swiping games to play! It’s similar to Tinder swiping), kink search, and general browsing.

Yes it is! Most dating apps let you taste a sample of what they're serving, and 99Flavors does not disappoint! There's also the option to purchase credits individually if you're feeling more bold after you check out the freebies.
People like to jump on the "free train", but it's not always the best ride! It's great being able to test out a dating app without having to pay, but is Premium the way to go? There's only one way to find out!

There are also two options to enhance my Gold Membership with the Standard Contacts feature, which will let newbies reach out to me.
This is an add on to the Gold membership which allows free members to see my full profile and contact me. This makes the pool much bigger, since I won’t be limited to just Gold members messaging me and free members can contact me if they’re interested.
Cost for ‘Standard Contacts’:
This feels like a bit much as an add on, considering the existing cost of the Gold membership. I personally didn’t feel it would add much for the cost, since I was doing a lot of the searching and contacting on my own.
I noticed this add-on early on after registering – if you click “Profiles I Can View” on the left sidebar of the main feed it’ll bring this up. TBH I havenotfigured out what it’s for!
I feel like it’s an old feature they ended up getting rid of, because I’m unable to add a profile for that price. It just redirects me to the Gold Membership pricing page.

It’s been a while since I’ve jumped back into a site like this, so trying out and working on this 99Flavors review definitely shook up my old ways of dating - for the better!
