Valentime Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?
Valentime is a real, working international dating site, but I would not put money into it. It runs on pay-per-action credits instead of a subscription, the women’s profiles skew heavily toward Eastern Europe, and its reviews split almost evenly between five-star praise and one-star “fake profiles” complaints. If you still want to try the Valentime dating site, keep to the free features and the welcome credits, and set a hard spending cap before you buy anything.
What is the Valentime dating site, and who runs it?
Valentime describes itself as an international dating platform for “deep and meaningful connections”, in the words of its Trustpilot company profile, which the company claimed in July 2021 and lists in the United States with the support address support@valentime.help. In practice it is a site where mostly Western men browse and write to women abroad, many of whom present as being from Ukraine and other Slavic countries, according to the reviews that rank for it.
Who owns it is less clear. One ranking review names a Gibraltar company as the operator, but I found no registry record to confirm it, and Valentime’s own site, including its terms and FAQ, returned a Cloudflare block for every page when this review was researched in October 2026 (only its robots.txt file loaded). That matters: on credit sites, the terms are where you find out how messages, refunds and staff-run profiles really work. You can reach the site itself at valentime.com.
Who Valentime is for, and who should skip it
- It fits men who specifically want to write to women in Eastern Europe, who are comfortable with a long-distance relationship, and who prefer letters and chat on a desktop over a swipe app.
- Skip it if you want to meet someone near you, if you are on a tight budget, if you want to see a price list before you sign up, or if you only use your phone and want a proper app.
- It is not a hookup site, and it is a poor fit for women or LGBTQ+ daters: reviews describe a pool built around men writing to women.
How Valentime works
You sign up free, build a profile and browse. The reviews that rank for Valentime describe search filters, a one-at-a-time “Faces” browser where you like or skip, winks and likes, a favorites list, a social feed with photos and status posts, and paid ways to talk: live chat while the other person is online, longer “mail” letters, photo and video attachments, virtual gifts and even real flowers and presents delivered to a member. There are also contact and meeting requests, which come at a heavy credit cost.
The key point is what is free and what is not. Browsing and expressing interest are free; almost every way of actually talking costs credits. Valentime says in a Trustpilot reply that “new members receive 20 welcome credits to get started”, and in another that it offers “free registration and basic access”, with extra features paid by credits.
Free vs paid: what Valentime costs
Valentime has no monthly subscription. You buy credit packs and spend them per action, so the cost depends on how much you chat, how many letters you open and send, and whether you send gifts. The company’s line on Trustpilot is that “spending is entirely up to you, credits only apply to the features you decide to use.”
| Feature | Free or paid | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and basic access | Free | Valentime reply on Trustpilot |
| Welcome credits | 20 credits on sign-up | Valentime reply on Trustpilot |
| Chat, letters, attachments, gifts | Paid in credits | Valentime replies on Trustpilot; ranking reviews |
| Unlimited messaging package | Not offered; largest pack is 3,180 credits | Valentime support on SmartCustomer |
| Payment methods | Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay | Valentime reply on Trustpilot |
Information checked October 2026 on Valentime’s Trustpilot replies and its SmartCustomer page, where a Valentime representative wrote “we don’t have unlimited credits packages” and pointed to the 3,180-credit pack as the largest.
What about the actual dollar prices? Third-party reviews publish credit pack prices and a per-action credit list, but Valentime’s own pages were not reachable for this review, so I am not repeating numbers I could not confirm at the source. Treat any price you see quoted elsewhere as a lead and check it on the payment screen before you pay. If the site offers an automatic top-up when your balance runs low, as one ranking review says it does, switch it off.
In my Dating.com review I found that having to pay for each item and monitoring credits while getting to know someone seemed stressful, and Valentime uses the same model, without a subscription alternative.
Is Valentime legit? Real profiles or scam
The website is real and active: reviews keep arriving every week in 2026 and the company replies to them. Whether the conversations are real is the question every review in Google’s top results circles around.
- One ranking review reports a bare new profile receiving views, winks and messages almost at once, and many accounts sharing the same handful of names. It still describes the site as usable, with ID verification as the main defense.
- User reviews on an aggregator average 2.7 out of 5 from a dozen ratings, with several older ones saying replies came too fast and too polished, as if from “chat operators” rather than the women in the photos.
- A page that ranks for “Valentime scam” quotes Valentime’s terms as allowing “Icebreaker” messages sent to many members at once by an automated system, and profiles “created, maintained and managed” by staff. The terms page was blocked when this review was researched, so I could not confirm the current wording. If you sign up, open the terms from the site footer and search for “Icebreaker” and “staff” before you buy credits.
Valentime’s side: it tells unhappy reviewers that “many profiles go through verification as part of keeping the community trustworthy” and that “a lot of profiles on our platform are verified according to our Terms of Service.” Note the wording: many, a lot, not all.
How to read Valentime’s reviews
None of the ranking reviews explain this, and it is the best evidence you have. On Trustpilot, Valentime has a TrustScore of 3.3 from 77 reviews (October 2026), but almost nobody lands in the middle: 41% give five stars, 43% give one star, and only 16% give two, three or four. Valentime replies to 100% of negative reviews, usually within a week.
The two camps read very differently. The recent five-star reviews are short and general: “easy to use”, “quick and helpful answers”, “felt an immediate connection”. The one-star reviews are specific: spending more than planned on daily check-ins, payments blocked by a bank, female profiles that look fake or AI-written, contact details blocked in chat, sister sites under other names. On SmartCustomer the split is starker, 3.1 out of 5 from 92 reviews with 63% one-star, and the page shows Valentime sent 111 review invitations in the last 12 months. Invited reviews are allowed, but they explain why the praise is so upbeat and so vague. When the detailed reviews all describe the same pattern, I give them more weight.
Valentime is not listed on the Better Business Bureau, so there is no BBB rating or complaint record to check.
Safety and verification on Valentime
Valentime’s verification is a badge, not a gate. In a Q&A answer from 2022, Valentime support explained that “Trusted User” profiles are checked with a video in which the woman holds her ID, says the date and gives consent, and that moderators compare the video with her profile photo. It also said “affiliate partners” screen for fake profiles, which suggests women’s profiles may come in through partner agencies. A badge tells you the face matches an ID. It does not tell you who is typing the messages.
The bigger risk on any international chat site is money leaving your account outside the site. The FTC’s romance scam guide lists the signs: someone who professes strong feelings fast, lives far away, cannot meet, and then needs money for a ticket, a visa, medical bills or fees, paid by wire, gift card or crypto. Its bottom line is simple: never send money or gifts to someone you have not met in person. On Valentime that includes the paid gift and flower deliveries.
- Run a reverse image search on profile photos before you invest credits in a conversation.
- Ask for a live video call early. A real person who wants to meet you will say yes.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto, and never share bank or card details in chat.
- If you are targeted, report the profile to Valentime support, tell your bank if you paid, and file a report at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Is there a Valentime app?
No. A web search for App Store and Google Play listings in October 2026 turned up no Valentime dating app, and ranking reviews agree it is browser only, with a mobile site that reuses the desktop layout. Some one-star reviewers complain about forms that fail on mobile and delayed notifications. Be careful with similarly named “Valentine” apps in the stores: they are not Valentime.
Cancel, refunds and deleting your account
Because there is no subscription, there is nothing to cancel in the usual sense. What can keep charging you is a saved card plus automatic top-up, so remove your card and turn top-up off in your account if you stop using the site. Ranking reviews say refunds are possible in specific cases, such as an undelivered gift order, a declined meeting request or a proven scam, and that credits do not expire. Valentime’s refund terms were not reachable for this review, so ask support in writing at support@valentime.help, keep the reply, and request a refund for unused credits before you close the account. If a charge was unauthorized, contact your card issuer.
Pros and cons
- Free to join and browse, with 20 welcome credits.
- No subscription and no automatic monthly renewal.
- Optional ID-video “Trusted User” badge on some profiles.
- Company replies to every negative review.

- Prices and terms not checkable before signing up.
- Steady, detailed complaints about fake or scripted profiles.
- No app, and an unconfirmed operator.
Better alternatives to Valentime
- FilipinoCupid: an international site with a subscription instead of per-message credits, so you know what you pay per month up front.
- UkraineDate: if Eastern Europe is the point, this one also runs on a subscription, though it has its own scam warnings.
- eHarmony and Match: for marriage-minded dating close to home, with a real app. See also my serious dating sites list, and senior dating sites if you are over 50.
- AmourMeet: a very similar credit-based chat site, listed so you can compare, not as a recommendation.

How I rate it
I rate Valentime 2 out of 5. The rating is based on public pricing information, features, safety tools, app store and review-platform reputation, and value, not on hands-on use. Value for money: 1.5 (pay per action, no unlimited plan, prices not confirmable). Safety and verification: 2.5 (an ID-video badge exists, but only for some profiles, and partner-supplied profiles are acknowledged). Evidence of an active user base: 2.5 (steady 2026 reviews and replies, but polarized, partly invited, and no app). Features for its audience: 2.5 (chat, letters, video, gifts, Faces browsing). Transparency: 1 (site and terms blocked to outside checks, unconfirmed operator, no public price list). Average: 2.0.
Frequently asked questions
Is Valentime a legit dating site?
Valentime is a real, active website and the company answers complaints, so it is not a fake site. But it charges credits for nearly every conversation, and many detailed reviews describe fake or scripted profiles. Treat it with caution and never send money to anyone you meet there.
Is Valentime free?
You can register, browse and send likes or winks for free, and Valentime says new members get 20 welcome credits. Chatting, letters, attachments and gifts all cost credits, and there is no unlimited package.
Does Valentime have an app?
No. There is no Valentime dating app on the App Store or Google Play as of October 2026. The site works in a mobile browser, and similarly named Valentine apps are not related to it.
Are the profiles on Valentime real?
Some profiles carry a Trusted User badge, which Valentime says requires an ID video checked by moderators, but the company only says many profiles are verified, not all. Reverse image search photos, ask for a live video call early, and walk away from anyone who asks for money.
Which dating site is 100% free?
No international dating site of this kind is fully free, and Valentime is not either. If cost matters, a subscription site lets you know what you pay per month, while credit sites like Valentime charge for every message.
What dating site is best for older people?
For older singles who want something serious close to home, mainstream sites with real apps and clear subscriptions are a safer bet than credit-based international chat sites. See the senior dating sites list for options.
