AmourMeet Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?

The AmourMeet dating site is real, but I would not spend money on it. It is a working pay-per-message chat site run by a Cyprus company, where you buy credits to chat by the minute and to send letters, photos and videos, and the price of those credits is only shown once you reach checkout. If you want to meet someone abroad, there are cheaper and more transparent places to start.

My verdict: AmourMeet is not a fake site, and it publishes more about itself than most credit-based sites: a named company, a per-action price list and a detailed FAQ. But its own documents describe a system where one side chats for free and the other pays per minute and per letter, refunds exclude "dissatisfaction with messages", and Trustpilot reviewers mostly report costs and scripted-feeling chats. Approach with caution, cap your budget, and never send money to anyone you meet there.

What is AmourMeet, and who runs it?

AmourMeet (amourmeet.com) calls itself "an online communication platform that lets adults meet, chat, and build connections across borders." It runs in a web browser, where you browse profiles, chat live, write longer letters and send photos, videos, stickers and virtual gifts.

Unlike many sites of this kind, it names the business behind it. Here is what I could confirm in October 2026:

    • Operator: the AmourMeet Terms and Conditions name Astrasoft Projects Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (HE 409810, Limassol), together with its affiliate Lumintix Solutions Limited, a UK company. The refund policy says payments are collected by one or the other.
    • The UK affiliate is new: the Companies House record for Lumintix Solutions Limited shows it was incorporated on April 29, 2025, and lists web portals and software among its activities.
    • The site itself is about four years old: the domain was registered on September 2, 2022, according to the official .com registry record.
    • Cyprus law applies: the Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, and they describe the content on the site as being "for informational and entertainment purposes only".

A named company is a point in AmourMeet's favor. It also means that if a charge goes wrong, you are dealing with a Cyprus company under Cyprus law, not a US one.

Who the AmourMeet dating site is for

The site is 18+ only. Its sign-up form opens on "I am a.. Man", and the review sites that rank for this search pitch it as "international dating for men over 45" writing to women abroad, mostly from Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia.

    • Might suit: someone who mainly wants online conversation with people in other countries, is in no hurry to meet, and keeps a strict monthly budget.
    • Skip it if: you want to date locally, you want a fixed monthly price, you plan to meet in person soon, or you find it hard to end a conversation that keeps costing you money.

    How AmourMeet works

Sign-up is free: gender, birthday, email and password on the homepage form, then a confirmation email. Your photos are reviewed before they go live. The AmourMeet FAQ lists four ways to find people: search by interests, languages, age and location; likes; an "Online now" list; and notifications when someone writes to you. From a profile you click "Chat now".

There is no AmourMeet app. The FAQ says it "currently runs as a mobile-friendly website" and that native iOS and Android apps will be announced when available. That matters, because the App Store and Google Play results Google shows for this search belong to unrelated apps with lookalike names: Amour Dating App by MJ Bar Realty LLC (3.8 stars from 10 ratings on the US App Store), Amor Dating App by ProGameBat (4.4 stars from 689 ratings on Google Play) and Amour Dating by TurtleByte, an Indian app. None of them is AmourMeet, and their ratings tell you nothing about it (checked October 2026). It also means you pay AmourMeet directly by card, with no Apple or Google refund process behind you.

How the two kinds of members work

This is the part none of the reviews in Google's top results explain, and it changes how you should read the site. AmourMeet's Verified user community policy (February 2026) describes "Pro Users": members who pass an ID check and in return get "unlimited free messaging to other users" and a Verified badge. Pro Users "cannot purchase Credits", and the status is permanent: a Pro User cannot switch to being a paying "Premium" user.

So a conversation on AmourMeet can have one person chatting for free and the other paying by the minute and by the letter. The site does not say which members are Pro Users or how many there are. The policy bans Pro Users from asking for money, gift cards or crypto, promoting paid content or selling contact details, which is good. But the structure means the person you are writing to has no cost, and the company earns more the longer you keep talking. Keep that in mind when a chat feels warm but never moves toward a video call.

Free vs paid: what AmourMeet costs

AmourMeet has no subscription. You buy packs of credits and spend them per action or per minute. According to the FAQ, these are free: creating an account, completing your profile, browsing profiles, receiving messages, using search filters and sending likes. Everything that makes a conversation costs credits. The Terms (section 4.5) list the prices:

    ActionCredits
    Live chat2 per minute
First message (letter) to a member10
Each additional message to the same member30
Sending or receiving a photo in chat10
Sending or receiving an audio message10
Sending or receiving a video message50
    Sticker5
    Virtual giftvaries by gift

Prices checked October 2026, from AmourMeet's Terms and Conditions (last updated February 25, 2026).

Two things in that list deserve attention. Opening a photo or video someone sends you costs credits too, not only sending one. And letters get more expensive after the first: 10 credits to open a conversation, then 30 for each one after that.

What a credit costs in dollars is the missing piece. The Terms say "the price for each package and the number of Credits will be shown during the payment process", and nothing on the public pages lists the packs. Credits are "typically" bought in US dollars but may be charged in another currency, so your bank can add foreign transaction fees. Some third-party reviews mention free credits after you confirm your email and a discounted first pack; the Terms only say the site "may add free Credits to your account" from time to time, so do not count on it.

To see how the costs stack up, take one evening with one person: a 30-minute chat (60 credits), three letters (10 + 30 + 30 = 70 credits) and two photos opened (20 credits) come to 150 credits. Whatever the pack price at checkout, that is the unit you will be paying for again and again.

In my Dating.com review I found that paying for each item and monitoring credits while getting to know someone seemed stressful, and AmourMeet works the same way, without even a subscription option.

Auto top-up, and how to turn it off

At checkout there is an "Automatic Top-Up" toggle. If you buy with it switched on, AmourMeet charges your saved card again, for the same pack you last bought, every time your balance drops to 5 credits or fewer. The Terms stress that "this is not a subscription service", but in a long chat at 2 credits a minute it can fire several times in one sitting.

    1. Before you click "Buy", check that the Automatic Top-Up toggle is off.
    2. If you already turned it on, go to the Credits section and switch "Auto top-up is active" to inactive. The FAQ says the change is immediate and you get a confirmation email.

Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Apple Pay or Google Pay, per the FAQ. The site says it never accepts wire transfers, gift cards or crypto, so anyone on the platform who asks for those is a scammer.

    Refunds: read the fine print

AmourMeet's documents do not agree with each other on refunds, and the stricter one is the one that will be applied.

    • The FAQ says US users "can request a refund within 30 days of purchase for unused credits, or for credits charged in error", and EU and UK users have 14 days.
    • The Payment & Refund Policy (updated July 25, 2026) lists only unauthorized card payments as grounds for a refund within 30 days. It refuses refunds for "lack of mutual attraction", "dissatisfaction with messages, chats, attachments, or videos" and "discrepancies between user profiles and actual appearance". It closes your claim if you do not answer support within seven days, and it calls a chargeback filed without contacting support first "bad faith".
    • The Terms say unused credits can be forfeited if your account is terminated, and that the main Terms win over the refund policy where they disagree.

The FAQ also calls the per-action prices "illustrative", while the Terms present the same numbers as the actual prices. In practice: assume credits you spend are gone, and only buy what you are ready to lose.

Real profiles or scam? What reviewers report

AmourMeet has very little public review history, which itself says something about how many people use it.

    PlatformScoreReviewsNotes
Trustpilot2.1 / 51776% one star, no five-star reviews. Profile claimed by AmourMeet in April 2026; Trustpilot notes the company has not invited reviews recently.
App Store / Google Playn/an/aNo AmourMeet app exists. The "Amour" and "Amor" apps listed there are other companies.

    Ratings checked October 2026.

Seventeen reviews is a small sample, so I would not treat the score as a verdict on its own. But the complaints line up with the price list above:

    • Cost: reviewers call the pricing hard to believe and describe charges for usage they did not expect.
    • Chats that feel steered: one reviewer in April 2026 wrote that the women seem encouraged "to keep you sending unnecessary dialogue". Another, in October 2026, wrote "THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE!!"
    • Promised credits and support: complaints about bonus credits not added, an account locked, and a reviewer who says more than 40 requests to delete his profile went unanswered in 2025.
    • Refunds: one reviewer says the company did not refund him "as per your terms and conditions".

The company replies to most negative reviews by asking people to email support. Its own FAQ is unusually frank about the risk: it tells you to report conversations that "constantly steer toward chargeable content" or "replies that feel scripted to keep you paying", and it states that AmourMeet "does not send promotional or motivational messages from real-looking accounts". It also promises to refund credits spent on a profile it confirms is fake. I cannot verify any of that from the outside. What I can say is that a site where one side chats free, the other pays per minute, and contact details are blocked in chat puts the cost of a slow conversation entirely on the paying member.

    Safety and verification

Per the FAQ and Terms, AmourMeet checks:

    • Every profile: a verified email address and an automated review of photos and registration data before the profile goes live.
    • Optional ID check: a selfie holding a government ID earns a Verified badge. It is processed in-house, and the site keeps the document "for audit purposes". The Terms add that the site may ask any user for a selfie with ID or a payment card at any time.
    • Contact details are blocked in chat: phone numbers, emails, social handles and addresses do not go through, "in either direction". The site frames this as anti-scam protection; it also keeps every conversation on the meter.
    • Reporting: in a chat, More > Complaint, with categories including fake profile, scam and "Pressure or manipulation to send / spend". The FAQ promises an answer within 24 hours and resolution of standard cases within 72 hours. Block from More > Add to Block List.

The bigger risk on any international chat site is a romance scam, and the warning signs are the ones the FTC's guide to romance scams lists: someone who pushes you off the site quickly, always has a reason not to meet or video call, then asks for money for a ticket, a visa, a medical bill or an "investment", ideally by wire, gift card or crypto. Never send money or gifts to someone you have not met in person. If you lose money, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to AmourMeet.

    Pros and cons

    Pros

    • Named operator (Cyprus and UK companies) and a public per-action price list in the Terms.
    • Free to join, browse, search and receive messages.
    • Optional ID verification with a badge, and a report option for pressure to spend.
    • No subscription; auto top-up can be switched off in one place.

    Cons

    • Credit pack prices are not shown until checkout.
    • Every chat minute, letter, photo you open and video costs credits; letters jump from 10 to 30 credits.
    • Verified "Pro Users" message for free and cannot pay, so one side of a chat carries all the cost.
    • Refund policy excludes dissatisfaction and profiles that do not match reality; its FAQ and policy contradict each other.
    • No app, a tiny review footprint and mostly one-star Trustpilot reviews.

How to cancel and delete your AmourMeet account

There is nothing recurring to cancel unless you turned on Automatic Top-Up (see above). To leave for good, go to My Profile > Delete your account and confirm. The FAQ says your profile disappears from search within 24 hours and your personal data is erased within 30 days, except transaction records (kept seven years) and anti-fraud logs (up to two years). Unused credits are not refunded when you delete, so spend or write off your balance first. If you want a copy of your data, request it from support@amourmeet.com before deleting.

    AmourMeet alternatives

If you like the idea of international dating but not the meter, look at sites that sell membership plans instead of per-message credits. FilipinoCupid is one, if the Philippines is your focus. If you came to AmourMeet from a similar credit site, my reviews of AmourFeel and UkraineDate cover the same model. For dating closer to home with a real chance of meeting, my serious dating sites list, eHarmony and Match are where I would start. Over 50? The senior dating sites guide, OurTime and SilverSingles are built for you.

    How I rate it

I rate AmourMeet 2 out of 5. The rating is based on public information, not on hands-on use: its published pricing and policies, its features, its safety tools, its reputation on Trustpilot, and value for money. Scored 1 to 5: value for money 1.5 (every action is metered and pack prices are hidden), safety and verification 2.5 (photo review, optional ID badge and a pressure-to-spend report option, but contact details are blocked and refunds are narrow), evidence of an active user base 1.5 (no app and 17 Trustpilot reviews), features for its audience 3 (chat, letters, media, gifts) and transparency 2.5 (a named company and a price list, but no pack prices and conflicting refund rules). The average rounds to 2.
