EasternHoneys Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?
The EasternHoneys dating site (easternhoneys.com) is a real, working website, but it is a pay-per-message chat platform, not a cheap way to date someone from Asia or Eastern Europe. Signing up and browsing are free; chat is billed by the minute and letters, photos, videos and gifts by the action, credit prices stay hidden until you log in, and the company behind it does not name itself anywhere in its legal pages. Use it only as paid entertainment with a strict budget, never as your main route to a relationship.
What EasternHoneys is and who runs it
The EasternHoneys homepage sells itself as "a friendly environment for all its members who are looking for an online communication experience", and says it is "most fitting for people who are tired of chatting to locals only". It never uses the word dating. The reviews that rank for this search describe it as a site that connects Western men with women from Eastern countries, and the profiles in their screenshots match that picture. Its Terms add one more word: the platform "is designed for entertainment".
Who owns it is harder to answer than for most sites I look at. The "Company information" line at the end of the Terms of Use reads only "EasternHoneys", with a legal email (legal@easternhoneys.com) and a support email (support@easternhoneys.help). The Privacy Policy is worse: the sentence that should name the company responsible for your data reads, word for word, "For legal purposes, , is the controller of your personal data." There is no company name, no registration number and no postal address on any page I could open (October 2026). Trustpilot lists the business as based in the United States, which is all the public record says.
The legal pages are otherwise detailed, and they are nearly identical to those of Asiavibe, a site run on the same model. Three clauses matter before you pay:
- Disputes go to binding individual arbitration after a mandatory informal process that starts with a signed notice to legal@easternhoneys.com. For US residents the arbitrator applies Delaware law (California law for Californians). You waive class actions and jury trials.
- The company caps its liability at the greater of what you paid it or $100.
- It can change the Terms at its discretion; notified changes take effect 14 days after they are posted.
Who EasternHoneys is for (and who should skip it)
- It can suit someone who enjoys long written conversations with people abroad, treats the cost as an entertainment budget, and accepts that the conversation may never leave the site.
- Skip it if you want to marry or meet someone in person soon, want a flat monthly price, are on a tight budget, or want to know which company holds your card details. A site that bills by the minute rewards long chats, not meetings.
- Not for hookups: both DatingScout reviews in the results say the site is a poor fit for casual encounters, and its community guidelines ban explicit content and any form of paid dating.
How the EasternHoneys dating site works
Registration is free. Section 2.2 of the Terms says it asks for your email, username, password, gender and date of birth, or a Google account. You must be 18 or older, use your real name, and keep phone numbers, email addresses and social media links out of your profile. To log in later, go back to easternhoneys.com and use the login button: there is no separate app.
The ranking reviews describe the same set of tools:
- Search with basic and extended filters (country, age and, per DatingScout, marital status, children, religion and education).
- Faces or the people carousel: suggested profiles to like or skip.
- Wink, like, follow or add to favorites: free ways to show interest.
- Chat for instant messages, and mail for long letters with a subject line and photo or video attachments.
- Newsfeed: photo posts with captions from members.
- Gifts: virtual gifts and stickers paid in credits; DatingScout also describes real gifts delivered to a member's address.
Three rules in the Terms shape every conversation:
- Icebreakers (section 7.3): the site lets members send "the same messages" to "randomly matched users". If several new members open with the exact same words, that is why.
- Contact details (section 7.1): you may request another member's contact information, but it is shared only if "all the conditions for the request are fulfilled" and the other person consents. The conditions are not published: "Please contact our support for more details." DatingScout quotes a spending threshold for this request; I could not confirm it on the official pages.
- Translation (section 7.1): automatic chat translation is offered to "certain users", with no promise that it is accurate.
Is there an EasternHoneys app?
No. EasternHoneys is a website that works in a phone browser. A search of the US App Store and Google Play in October 2026 returns no EasternHoneys app, and the reviews in the results agree. Any store listing or download link claiming to be EasternHoneys is not from the site. Reviewers on Reviews.io mention that the mobile browser version feels less smooth than the desktop one.
Free vs paid: what EasternHoneys costs
There is no subscription. You buy credit packages and spend them action by action. The Terms and the Payment and Refund Policy split the features like this:

Prices checked October 2026 in EasternHoneys' Terms of Use and Payment and Refund Policy. The Terms say "all the prices are provided either on the User's profile page or at the page where a relevant paid feature is used", and the link they give for package prices leads to no price list. The DatingScout reviews and Google's AI Overview quote a small introductory credit pack and a per-action price list in credits, but I could not open a price page to confirm any of it, so I do not repeat those numbers here. Check the Credits page yourself before the first purchase.
Other money rules from the official policy:
- Two kinds of charges: per action (a letter) and per unit of time (chat per minute).
- Prices can change at any time, and a free feature can become paid, at the company's sole discretion.
- Free credits and bonus Chat Gems may be added to your account. Neither is refundable.
- Payment: credit and debit cards (the footer shows Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover), Google Pay, PayPal and others. No gift, prepaid or scratch cards. You are usually charged in US dollars, and a failed payment is retried once automatically.
- Inactivity: the Terms (section 10.1) allow the site to terminate an account after three consecutive months without activity. Do not leave a large balance sitting unused.
Does it auto-renew? The two DatingScout reviews disagree: one says purchases never renew automatically, the other describes an auto top-up checkbox on the Credits page. The official policy mentions only the single retry of a failed payment. If you see an auto top-up option when you buy, leave it unticked.
Is EasternHoneys real or fake? The Top User system
"Real or fake" is the most searched question about EasternHoneys, and the honest answer sits in its own Terms. Section 3 lists the paid features, then adds: "Top Users may use the above features free of charge, with or without limitations." The site's page on how it prevents deception explains who they are: to become a Top User, an applicant must send identity documents and, "in most cases", a video of themselves holding the ID and reading a text. Everything Top Users post is pre-moderated.
So there are two kinds of members. One group is ID-checked and talks for free. The other pays by the minute and by the letter to talk to them. That makes the profiles you write to more likely to belong to real, verified people than on many chat sites. It does not tell you why each person is there, and the business earns from every minute the conversation lasts. The Terms are plain about the rest: the site disclaims "the conduct of any criminal background checks" and warns that information from members "may be false or misleading".
Be careful with the glowing review at position six in the results, theeasternhoneys.com. It is a separate site full of "Create Your Free Profile" buttons, and it presents real-time ID and face checks as the core of the sign-up process and says the site uses end-to-end encryption. EasternHoneys' own 2025 Transparency Report says ID verification through Persona is something users "can now opt-in" to, and none of the official pages I read mention end-to-end encryption. Go by the official pages.
DatingScout reports about 1.5 million members and far more men than women. EasternHoneys publishes no member count, so neither figure can be checked.
EasternHoneys reviews and complaints
On Trustpilot, EasternHoneys has a TrustScore of 3.8 from 260 reviews: 54% 5-star and 27% 1-star (October 2026). The company has claimed the profile, pays for a Trustpilot subscription and replies to all negative reviews, mostly with short templated answers. On Reviews.io it shows 4.8 from just 17 reviews, most with a company reply. A split between many 5-star and many 1-star reviews is typical of credit chat sites.
What reviewers say, across both platforms:
- Praise: fast, friendly support, easy sign-up, a clean interface, pleasant conversations.
- Cost: the main complaint. Credits "can dwindle rapidly", even in a 4-star review; others call the site expensive and describe repeated prompts to top up after a few minutes.
- Doubts about the people: reviewers who think messages and photos look AI-generated or fake. The company's reply is to report suspicious profiles by email.
- Account and contact limits: trouble deleting an account, and strict rules on sharing personal contact details.
The People Also Ask box asks which dating app has the most fake accounts. No public data ranks that honestly. On EasternHoneys the better question is who you are paying to talk to, and the Top User clause answers it. No Reddit thread could be read for this search.
Safety and verification on EasternHoneys
From the official pages, checked October 2026:
- Moderation: machine learning plus a Trust & Safety team "of over 50 professionals", and a keyword filter that blocks banned words in chat, per how it enforces the rules.
- Verification: Persona checks with a live selfie and a government ID, required when an account looks under 18 (14 days to complete) and optional for everyone else, per the Acceptable Use Policy. Top Users are ID-checked.
- Report and block: in a chat or profile, click "More" and choose "Report abuse"; in a letter, the same button sits top right. Blocking hides the member's profile and content from you, and they are not notified, per the reporting guide. The Acceptable Use Policy promises to resolve a complaint within 7 days.
- The numbers: the 2025 Transparency Report counts 17.07 million items reviewed and 697,576 items and accounts actioned, and scam activity made up 15.8% to 25.1% of the community-guideline violations found each month. The same totals appear in Asiavibe's 2025 report, so they most likely describe a shared platform, not EasternHoneys alone.
- No background checks: the anti-scam page says so and points US users to the National Sex Offender Public Website.
How to protect yourself, from the FTC's romance scam guidance:
- Never send money, gift cards, crypto or a "visa" or travel fee to someone you have not met in person. EasternHoneys bans requests for money between members.
- Be wary of someone who declares deep feelings fast but can never meet, or who pushes you to move to email or text quickly.
- Reverse-image search profile photos.
- Set a monthly budget before buying credits, and stop when it is gone.
- If you lost money, call your bank or card issuer, then report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to the site.
Can you get a refund from EasternHoneys?
Rarely. The Payment and Refund Policy says purchases are non-refundable "in most cases". The ranking reviews summarize an older version; here is the current one:
- Unspent credits: refunded only if you bought them by mistake and ask within 3 calendar days, or your account is closed at your request, and in both cases only if they are worth more than USD 20. Never from your fifth such request on.
- Spent credits: only if the site failed to deliver the service, if another member scammed you and an investigation agrees, or if someone used your card without permission. Ask within 30 days of finding out.
- Deadlines: 120 days after a card payment, 180 days after a PayPal payment. EU residents can withdraw within 14 days of registering and get unspent credits back; some US states allow cancelling a transaction before midnight of the third business day.
- The process: email support@easternhoneys.help. The first review takes at least 48 hours, and if you do not answer a request for evidence within 7 days, the claim is declined. The policy also says a refund for credits spent on someone who stopped writing back "is unlikely to be approved".
Think before a chargeback. Under section 10.2 of the Terms, one disputed charge can get your account soft-blocked, and several can get it deleted. You keep the right to dispute a charge with your bank, but write to support first and keep the reply.

How to delete your EasternHoneys account
- Deal with your credits first. If your unspent balance is worth more than USD 20, ask for a refund in the same email as your deletion request, since closing your account is one of the cases the policy allows.
- Email support@easternhoneys.help. Section 10.1 of the Terms says you close your account, temporarily or permanently, "by sending a letter" to support. DatingScout also mentions a delete option in profile settings; if you find one, use it and still email support.
- Ask for permanent deletion of your data in writing. The Privacy Policy lets you request deletion and a copy of your data at legal@easternhoneys.com. Keep the replies.
The Privacy Policy says some data is kept after deletion for payments, disputes and anti-money-laundering rules. Since there is no subscription and no app, there is nothing to cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
