Amourlee Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?

The Amourlee dating site is a real, working website, but I would not spend money on it. It is a pay-per-use chat platform where you buy credits to send messages, letters, photos and videos, its own Terms name no company behind it, and the reviews it gets are split between five stars and one star. If you want to meet someone abroad, there are more transparent places to start.

My verdict: Amourlee is not a fake website: it has live pages, published Terms and a refund policy, and a domain that has existed since 2018. But its documents leave out the basics you would want before paying (who runs it, what each action costs), its marketing says every profile is verified while its Terms say it "may not routinely screen its users", and many reviewers describe polished profiles and replies that feel automated. Approach with caution, cap your budget, and never send money to anyone you meet there.

What is Amourlee, and who runs it?

Amourlee (amourlee.com) describes itself as a "communication platform which helps its users to build social connections worldwide." It runs in a web browser, with a mobile version at m.amourlee.com, and offers browsing, a social-style newsfeed, live chat, longer "mail" messages, photo and video sharing, live streams and virtual gifts. The review sites ranking for this search describe a member base made up mostly of Slavic, often Ukrainian, women writing with men abroad.

The question of who runs it has no clean answer. Here is what I could confirm in October 2026:

    • No company name: the Amourlee Terms of Use (last updated February 4, 2026) call the operator only "Amourlee". The notice address in the Terms is blank, and the Privacy Policy does not name the data controller either. One third-party review names a Cyprus company, but I could not find it in any registry, so I am not repeating it as fact.
    • Florida law: the Terms are "governed and construed in accordance with laws of the State of Florida", with disputes going to Florida state courts. With no address and no company name, that clause is hard to use in practice.
    • The domain is eight years old: amourlee.com was registered on August 23, 2018 and is paid up to 2028, according to the official .com registry record.
    • Owner hidden: ScamAdviser rates the site "very likely safe" on technical grounds (valid SSL, old domain, card payments), but also notes the owner is hidden in WHOIS, its traffic rank is low and its reviews are "either very positive or negative".

ScamAdviser's score tells you the website is not a phishing page that will steal your card. It does not tell you whether the people you chat with are real or whether the credits are worth it. Those are different questions.

Who the Amourlee dating site is for

Amourlee is 18+ only, and the Terms say age may be checked through a third-party provider, Ondato, with a facial scan. It is built for online conversation with people in other countries, not for local dating.

    • Might suit: someone who mostly wants to chat with women abroad, is in no hurry to meet, and can stick to a hard monthly limit on credits.
    • Skip it if: you want to date near home, want a flat monthly price, plan to meet soon, or find it hard to walk away from a conversation that keeps costing you money.

    How Amourlee works

Sign-up is free with an email address or a Google account, then a short, optional questionnaire about your preferences. A photo is recommended but not required. Amourlee's own reviews page lists the main tools:

    • Search: filters for age, country and interests, plus a "Verified" checkbox to show only members with verified profiles.
    • Spark: a swipe-style feature where liking a profile adds it to your favorites and skipping removes it from suggestions.
    • Newsfeed: member posts and photos you can like or follow.
    • Live chat and mail: text, photo and video messages, with optional disappearing media that is erased after ten minutes.
    • Winks, likes, favorites and virtual gifts to show interest.

The Terms add two details that shape how conversations go. Exchanging contact information is a paid feature reserved for "Verified Users", so until you pass ID verification, every exchange stays on the site and on the meter. And the Terms list "Professional assistance in profile presentation and updates" among the services the site provides, without saying who gives that help or for which profiles.

    Is there an Amourlee app?

No. A search of the US App Store and Google Play in October 2026 found no Amourlee app; the site works in a phone browser. The two Google Play listings that rank for this search belong to other companies with similar names: Amour by Amour App (3.3 stars from 35 ratings, 10K+ downloads) and Amoure Dating by Amoure LLC (10+ downloads). Neither is Amourlee, and their ratings tell you nothing about it. It also means you pay Amourlee directly by card, with no Apple or Google refund process behind you.

Free vs paid: what Amourlee costs

Amourlee has no subscription. You buy credits and spend them on actions. The Billing Policy says free members can view main photos, send winks and likes, add favorites, and read chats and mails. The Terms list the paid features: sending letters, chatting by instant message, and sending or viewing photos and videos. The only public prices are on Amourlee's reviews page:

    OfferPriceCost per credit
Welcome bonus for new membersFree (20 credits)n/a
Intro offer for new members"under $1" for 50 creditsunder $0.02
    Smallest standard pack$19.99 for 50 creditsabout $0.40
    Largest pack$199.99 for 800 creditsabout $0.25

Prices checked October 2026, from Amourlee's own reviews page. Cost per credit is my arithmetic.

What is missing matters more than what is there. No public page says how many credits a chat minute, a letter, a photo or a video costs: you only see that once you are inside an account. So you cannot work out from the outside what a normal evening of chatting will cost. Two things are clear from the numbers above: the cheap intro offer is a one-time hook, and the standard price per credit is roughly 60% higher on the small pack than on the big one, which nudges you toward spending $200 at once.

Some reviews ranking for this search show different prices: one lists monthly "Silver", "Gold" and "Platinum" style subscriptions from $29.99 to $69.99, another quotes 20 credits for $2.99. Neither matches the credit-only model Amourlee's own pages describe in October 2026, so treat older price lists with suspicion.

In my Dating.com review I found that having to pay for each item and keep an eye on credits while getting to know someone felt stressful, and Amourlee runs on the same pay-per-action idea.

About auto top-up: one review in the top results says credits are topped up automatically, while Amourlee's own pages and several user reviews describe it as pay-as-you-go with no auto-renewal. The published Terms describe no automatic refill, but they do let the site store your card details. Before you buy, check whether your card is saved and whether any auto top-up box is ticked at checkout.

Refunds: the rules in plain English

Amourlee's Refund Policy (effective September 3, 2025) starts from "purchases of Credits or Services are generally non-refundable". The exceptions are narrow:

    • Legal cooling-off: residents of certain US states can cancel "before midnight of the third business day following the purchase date", with the money returned in the original form of payment.
    • Unused credits when your account is closed or suspended: a refund in real money is possible, but only for credits bought in the last 120 days, and discretionary refunds are "typically" only given when the amount is over USD 20.
    • Misrepresentation or a paid service that was not delivered: refunds are at Amourlee's discretion and paid back as credits, not money.
    • Deadlines: you must ask within 14 calendar days of the problem and send any evidence they request within 7 days, or the request may be denied.
Decision chart: only a 3-day legal window or unused credits on account closure can mean cash back; chats that went nowhere get no refund
From Amourlee's Refund Policy (effective September 3, 2025) and Terms of Use, checked October 2026.

The Terms add two more catches. Charge disputes must be raised with Amourlee within 14 days, before you go to your card issuer, and the refund policy warns that a chargeback filed first "could result in legal action". And if you do not log in for six months, your account can be closed and "all Credits may be forfeited". In practice: treat every credit you buy as spent.

Real profiles or scam? What reviewers report

Public ratings for Amourlee point in opposite directions, depending on where you look:

    PlatformScoreReviewsNotes
Trustpilot3.0 / 510848% one star, 28% five stars. Profile claimed by Amourlee in 2022; the company invites reviews and replied to 83% of negative ones.
SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber)4.7 / 512078% five stars; praise for support and the verified badge. Harsher claims about bots in the Q&A section.
App Store / Google Playn/an/aNo Amourlee app. The "Amour" apps listed there are other companies.

    Ratings checked October 2026.

The negative reviews repeat the same points as the Reddit thread that tops this search: profile photos that look heavily edited or professional, replies that feel automated or AI-written, the same messages arriving from different women, conversations that never move toward a meeting, and credits that run out fast. The positive reviews praise the clean design, quick support, the Verified badge and the lack of a subscription. Amourlee's replies to complaints generally deny bots and point people to support.

A split this sharp, where almost nobody gives three stars, is the pattern ScamAdviser flags as a reason to read reviews one by one rather than trust the average. I cannot tell from the outside which side is right. What I can say is what the site's own documents allow, which is the next section.

What Amourlee promises vs what its Terms say

This is the gap none of the top results look at. Amourlee's marketing and its legal documents describe two different levels of protection:

TopicAmourlee's reviews pageAmourlee's Terms of Use
Profile checks"verifies every profile using video clips and national IDs""may not routinely screen its users" or verify the information they provide
Who you can match with"Thousands of users choose Amourlee dating site daily""not all users are available for matching" and Amourlee "may create test profiles or accounts"
Profile contentMembers "be themselves"The site offers "Professional assistance in profile presentation and updates"
Popularity97,689 "happy users", 93% recommend on Sitejabber, 4.9/5No user numbers

The Terms are the document that binds the company, so they are the one I would believe. None of these lines proves wrongdoing, but together they mean the "Verified" filter is your only real signal, and that a profile looking polished or a chat feeling warm tells you nothing about whether the person is available to meet.

    Safety and verification

Here is what the Terms say Amourlee actually checks:

    • Age: an Ondato facial scan, and an ID document if that fails. Required in some places, and the Terms say it may be extended to more users.
    • Verified User badge (optional): a government photo ID valid for at least six more months, a photo of you holding it, and for US residents a signed Client Information Form. Only Verified Users can exchange contact details.
    • Reporting: a "Report" button on the site and a support email. Use it for anyone who asks for money or pushes you to move off the platform.
    • Meetings: the Terms say in capitals that meetings are "entirely at your own risk" and that Amourlee provides no services connected with them.

The bigger risk on any international chat site is a romance scam. The FTC's guide to romance scams lists the warning signs: someone who declares love quickly, lives far away, always has a reason not to meet or video call, then needs money for a ticket, a visa, a medical bill or an investment, paid by wire, gift card or crypto. "Never send money or gifts to a sweetheart you haven't met in person." If you lose money, report it at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, to your card issuer and to Amourlee.

    Pros and cons

    Pros

    • Free to join, browse, search, use Spark and the newsfeed, and read messages.
    • Optional ID-based Verified badge and a filter to show only verified members.
    • No subscription; you only spend what you choose to.
    • Long-standing domain (2018) and published Terms and refund policy.

    Cons

    • No company name or address in its legal documents.
    • Per-action credit costs are not published; credits cost about $0.25 to $0.40 each.
    • Terms disclaim routine screening and allow test profiles, despite the "every profile verified" marketing.
    • Contact details only after ID verification, so conversations stay on the paid meter.
    • Refunds are narrow, some are paid in credits, and inactive accounts can lose their credits.
    • No app, and reviews split between one star and five stars.

How to cancel and delete your Amourlee account

There is no subscription to cancel. Third-party reviews describe a "Delete account" button under Settings on your profile page that asks for your password and a reason. The Terms say you can also end your membership by written notice to support, effective on receipt, and that your account is deactivated when you withdraw consent. Before you leave, remember that unused credits are only refundable in the narrow cases above, so ask about any balance in the same message. If you saved a card, remove it from your account first.

    Amourlee alternatives

If you came to Amourlee from a similar credit site, my reviews of AmourMeet, AmourFeel and UkraineDate cover the same pay-per-message model, with the same caution. For international dating on a membership plan instead of per-message credits, FilipinoCupid is one option if the Philippines is your focus. For the most trustworthy route to a real relationship closer to home, my serious dating sites list, eHarmony and Match are where I would start.

    How I rate it

I rate Amourlee 2 out of 5. The rating is based on public information, not on hands-on use: its published pricing and policies, its features, its safety tools, its reputation on Trustpilot and SmartCustomer, and value for money. Scored 1 to 5: value for money 1.5 (credits at $0.25 to $0.40 each with no public price per action), safety and verification 2.5 (Ondato age checks, an optional ID badge and a report button, but the Terms disclaim routine screening and allow test profiles), evidence of an active user base 2 (no app, a low traffic rank and sharply split reviews), features for its audience 3 (chat, mail, media, Spark, newsfeed, gifts) and transparency 1.5 (no company name or address, no per-action prices, narrow refunds). The average rounds to 2.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Amourlee legit or a scam?

Amourlee is a real, working website with published Terms and a refund policy, and its domain dates from 2018. But its Terms name no company, say it may not routinely screen users and may create test profiles, and many reviewers report polished profiles and automated-feeling replies. Treat it as paid chat and never send money to anyone you meet there.

    How much does Amourlee cost?

Joining and browsing are free. Messaging, letters and media cost credits, which Amourlee's own reviews page prices from $19.99 for 50 credits up to $199.99 for 800, with 20 bonus credits and an intro offer for new members. The credit cost of each action is not shown on any public page.

    Does Amourlee have an app?

No. A search of the US App Store and Google Play in October 2026 found no Amourlee app; it runs in a browser and at m.amourlee.com. The Amour and Amoure Dating apps on Google Play are other companies.

Can I get a refund from Amourlee?

Purchases are generally non-refundable. Exceptions include a three-business-day cancellation right in some US states, unused credits bought within 120 days when your account is closed, and discretionary refunds in credits for misrepresentation. You must ask within 14 days of the problem.

What is AmoreDate, and is it the same as Amourlee?

AmoreDate is a different brand from Amourlee, and so are the Amour and Amoure dating apps that show up in the same searches. Check the exact domain before you sign up or pay, because lookalike names are common among international chat sites.

What is the least scammy dating site?

No site is scam-free, but membership sites with a named company, published prices and real verification, like eHarmony or Match, carry less risk than per-message credit sites. Whatever you use, follow the FTC's rule: never send money to someone you have not met in person.
