OkAmour Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?
The OkAmour dating site is a real, working business, not a fake front, but I would not spend money on it. It is a pay-per-minute, pay-per-letter chat site for meeting women abroad, run by a Cyprus company, with no app, hidden credit pack prices, three official price lists that do not agree, and a 1.8 out of 5 Trustpilot score built on complaints about costs and staged-looking profiles. If you want international dating, start somewhere you pay one known price.
What is the OkAmour dating site, and who runs it?
OkAmour (okamour.com) is a web-based international dating and chat site. Its homepage promises free registration, "fluent communication tools" (chat and letters), "manual verification of users’ profiles" and safe payments. Its own FAQ describes it more plainly as "an online communication platform that lets adults meet, chat, and build connections across borders".
Unlike many sites of this type, OkAmour names its owner. Its Pricing and Refund Policy says the site is operated by Sempiterna Digital Limited, company number HE 440404, registered at 2A Elia Venezi, Athienitis Strovolos Park, Nicosia, Cyprus. Its Terms and Conditions put the contract under the laws of Cyprus and include a mandatory arbitration clause and a class action waiver. In plain English: if a dispute goes beyond support, you are dealing with a Cypriot company under private arbitration, not a US court.
Two smaller things worth knowing. The site's public web code is a shared template set up to run several numbered brands, which fits the Trustpilot reviewers who suspect OkAmour belongs to a network of similar sites, though nothing official names any sister site. And OkAmour's Facebook page title says "Krakow WI", which matches neither the Cyprus company nor anything in its policies.
Who OkAmour is for
The site is 18+ only, and the Terms bar registration from 20 countries, mostly in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. In practice, the reviews in Google's results all describe Western men writing to women abroad, with profiles from Ukraine, Poland, Venezuela, Germany and Asia. One of those reviews pitches it as a site for "Ukrainian single women", which is why "OkAmour Ukraine" is a common search.
- Might suit: someone who mainly wants online pen-pal style conversation with people abroad, has no plan to meet soon, and keeps a strict monthly cap.
- Skip it if: you want to date locally, you want to meet in person within months, you are on a tight budget, or you find it hard to walk away from a conversation that keeps costing you.
How OkAmour works
Registration is free: email, name, nickname, password, gender and date of birth, or a Google account, according to the Terms. You confirm your email and add photos, which are reviewed before they go live. From there, the OkAmour FAQ lists four ways to find someone:
- Search by interests, languages, age and location;
- Likes, sent and received, which are free;
- Online now, the members active at that moment;
- Notifications when someone messages you or shows interest.
Contact itself is paid: live chat charged per minute, letters (longer messages with attachments), photos, stickers, audio and video messages, and virtual gifts. The FAQ also explains that many members use translation tools, so stilted replies are expected.
There is no OkAmour app. The FAQ says the site "currently runs as a mobile-friendly website" and that native iOS and Android apps will be announced when available. A search of the US App Store and Google Play in October 2026 found nothing under that name. One of the reviews ranking for this search, and Google’s own AI summary, say there are iOS and Android apps: the company’s own FAQ says otherwise, and I go with the company.
Free vs paid: what OkAmour really costs
OkAmour has no monthly subscription. The FAQ says credits are prepaid "and there is no recurring subscription unless you specifically opted into one". You buy credit packs and spend them per action. Free members can register, build a profile, browse profiles and photos, use search filters, receive messages and send likes or winks.
Here is what each action costs, from OkAmour’s Pricing and Refund Policy (last updated January 1, 2025):
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Chatting | 2 per minute |
| Sticker in chat | 5 |
| Photo in chat (send or receive) | 10 |
| Audio message in chat (send or receive) | 15 |
| Video message in chat (send or receive) | 25 |
| First letter to a member | 10 |
| Each further letter to the same member | 30 |
| Image / audio / video in a letter (send or open) | 10 / 15 / 25 |
| Likes and winks | Free |
Prices checked October 2026, from OkAmour’s Pricing and Refund Policy.
Three details in that policy matter more than the numbers:
- You pay to open, not just to send. Receiving a photo, audio or video costs the same as sending one, and the policy warns that "credits are charged immediately upon clicking on a photo or video".
- Letters get dearer after the first one. Writing five letters to the same person costs 10 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 = 130 credits, before any attachments.
- Chat runs on a clock. A 30-minute chat costs 60 credits, however slowly the other side types.
What a credit costs in dollars, OkAmour does not publish. The Terms say the price and number of credits "will be displayed during the payment process", typically in US dollars. The third-party reviews disagree with each other: one says new members get 20 free credits and a first pack of 35 credits for $2.99, another quotes "$29.99 per month", and Google’s AI summary says "$19.99". None of those can be checked on OkAmour’s public pages, and a monthly price contradicts the site’s own no-subscription FAQ. Treat them as rumors until you see the checkout screen yourself.
Payment is by Visa, Mastercard or Discover, or Apple Pay and Google Pay where your card supports it, according to the FAQ. OkAmour says it never accepts wire transfers, gift cards or crypto, so anyone asking you to pay that way is not the site.
Three price lists that do not match
Here is something none of the reviews ranking for this search point out: OkAmour’s own documents disagree on prices and refunds.
| Item | Pricing and Refund Policy | Terms and Conditions | FAQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Audio in chat | 15 credits | 10 credits | 10 credits |
| Video in chat | 25 credits | 50 credits | 50 credits |
| Refunds for US users | Only unauthorized payments, within 30 days, with proof | Order cancellation within 14 days if credits are unused | Unused credits or credits charged in error, within 30 days |
| Chargebacks | Without contacting support first: "bad faith", legal action possible | n/a | "We will cooperate with your bank in good faith" |
Checked October 2026 on OkAmour’s Pricing and Refund Policy, Terms and FAQ.
The FAQ calls its own figures "illustrative" and says the real price shows on screen before every chargeable action, and the Terms say the price on the service page wins. So the rule is simple: read the confirmation screen before every click that costs credits, and if you want a refund, quote the FAQ’s wording in writing.
Real profiles or scam? What reviewers report
OkAmour is not a scam in the sense of a fake shop that takes your card and disappears: it is a registered company with written policies that answers complaints. Whether the conversations are worth paying for is another question, and public reviews are harsh.
On Trustpilot, OkAmour scores 1.8 out of 5 from 85 reviews, with 77% one-star and 6% five-star ratings (checked October 2026). The company has claimed its profile and replies to 96% of negative reviews, often asking reviewers to write to support. The recurring complaints:
- Cost: reviewers describe paying for every minute and every media file, and losing money on credits.
- Profiles that look staged: several reviewers in 2026 suspect AI-generated or heavily edited photos, and one claims the site’s operators control many women’s profiles.
- No way off the site: reviewers say names of hotels, restaurants, phone numbers and emails are blocked in chat, and one says he could not arrange a meeting. Another says exchanging contact details took thousands of credits with no guarantee of approval.
- Refunds and support: one reviewer says he found no way to get a refund and disputed the charge with his card; others report slow answers.
Trustpilot does not verify these accounts, and a few three-star reviews describe pleasant conversations. OkAmour’s FAQ, for its part, states that it "does not send promotional or motivational messages from real-looking accounts" and that "any message you receive comes from a real user". It also confirms the contact block: the site "doesn't pass phone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, or postal addresses through chat", for safety reasons. That rule protects you from scammers, but it also means the only way to keep talking is to keep paying.
Safety and verification
According to the FAQ, every profile verifies an email and passes an automated review of photos and registration data. Identity verification, a selfie holding a government ID that earns a Verified badge, is voluntary, though the Terms say OkAmour may require it from some users. So "manual verification" on the homepage does not mean every profile has shown ID: look for the badge, and treat profiles without it as unverified.
The tools are better than average for this niche. Each chat has More, then Complaint, with reasons including fake profile, scam and a category called "Pressure or manipulation to send / spend", for chats that keep steering you toward paid photos, gifts or longer sessions. You can block anyone from the chat menu. The FAQ promises an answer to reports within 24 hours and says credits spent on a profile confirmed as fake are refunded.
The bigger risk on any international site is a romance scam. The FTC’s romance scam guide lists the signs: someone who moves fast, cannot meet or video call, then needs money for travel, a visa or medical bills, paid by gift card, wire transfer, payment app or crypto. Its rule: never send money or gifts to someone you have not met in person. If it happens, stop writing, report the profile to OkAmour, call your bank, and file at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
One OkAmour-specific trap: lookalike domains. In October 2026, ok-amour.com was a third-party page using the OkAmour name that actually described another site, Amourlee, behind a tracking link. Type okamour.com yourself before entering card details.
Cancel, refunds and deleting your account
With no subscription, "cancel" means three things:
- Turn off Automatic Top-up. It is a toggle on the checkout screen. If it is on, OkAmour’s Automatic Top-up terms say it rebuys the same amount as your last purchase every time your balance drops to 5 credits or fewer, without asking again. The FAQ says to switch it off under Credits, "Auto top-up is active"; the change is immediate and you get a confirmation email.
- Ask for a refund in writing if you have one coming. Email support@okamour.com with the subject "Refund request", your account email, purchase date and amount. The refund policy promises a decision within three business days and payment within 14 days, and closes any claim you do not answer within seven days. It excludes refunds for "lack of mutual attraction" or profiles that do not match real appearance.
- Delete the account. My Profile, then Delete your account. The FAQ says the profile disappears within 24 hours and personal data is erased within 30 days, except transaction records (kept 7 years) and anti-fraud logs. Unused credits are lost.
For a charge you never authorized, call your card issuer as well. OkAmour’s refund policy asks you to contact support first, so send that email and keep a copy.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Free to register, browse and send likes.
- A named company with a registered address, and a published per-action price list.
- No subscription; Automatic Top-up is opt-in and documented.
- Voluntary ID verification, a "pressure to spend" report option and a promised refund for confirmed fake profiles.
Cons
- Pay per minute and per letter, and you pay to open photos and videos too.
- Credit pack prices are not public, and three official documents give different prices and refund rules.
- 1.8/5 on Trustpilot, with repeated complaints about staged-looking profiles.
- Contact details blocked in chat, so a conversation cannot easily move off the meter.
- No app, Cyprus law and mandatory arbitration.
Better alternatives to OkAmour
If you are drawn to meeting someone abroad or someone serious, these are easier to budget for:
- Match: a subscription site for serious relationships from Match Group, with one price instead of paying per message.
- eHarmony: personality-based matching for long-term relationships, also by subscription.
- Dating.com: also international and also credit-based, but with apps on both stores. Watch the credits the same way.
- UkraineDate: if Ukrainian singles are the draw, read my review of this one before paying anywhere.

How I rate it
I rate OkAmour 2 out of 5. The rating is based on public pricing, features, safety tools, app store and review-platform reputation, and value, not on hands-on use. Value for money: 1.5 (pay per minute and per media file, including received ones, with pack prices hidden). Safety and verification: 2.5 (voluntary ID check, contact details blocked, a report option for pressure to spend). Evidence of an active user base: 1.5 (no app, 85 Trustpilot reviews, many doubting the profiles). Features for its audience: 2.5 (search, chat, letters, media, gifts). Transparency: 2 (named company and published per-action prices, but hidden pack prices, contradictory documents and an arbitration clause). Average: 2.
Frequently asked questions
Is OkAmour a legit site?
OkAmour is a real business run by Sempiterna Digital Limited, a company registered in Cyprus, with published terms and refund rules. That does not make it good value: it charges credits per chat minute, letter and media file, and it scores 1.8 out of 5 from 85 Trustpilot reviews (October 2026), mostly over costs and staged-looking profiles.
Is OkAmour free?
Registration, browsing profiles, search filters, receiving messages and sending likes or winks are free. Chatting costs 2 credits per minute, letters cost 10 credits for the first and 30 for each further one to the same person, and opening photos or videos costs credits too. OkAmour does not publish what a credit pack costs in dollars outside the checkout.
Does OkAmour have an app?
No. OkAmour's own FAQ says it runs as a mobile-friendly website and that native iOS and Android apps will be announced when available. A search of the US App Store and Google Play in October 2026 found no OkAmour app, despite some reviews claiming one.
Is there a 100% free dating site?
OkAmour is not one: any real conversation there needs paid credits. Most mainstream dating apps let you match and message on a free tier and charge only for extras, so compare free features before you buy credits anywhere.
Can I browse a dating site without joining?
On OkAmour you need a free account to see member profiles and photos. Registration only asks for an email, name, gender and date of birth, and browsing stays free after that.
How do I delete my OkAmour account?
Go to My Profile, then Delete your account, and confirm. The FAQ says your profile is hidden within 24 hours and personal data is erased within 30 days, apart from records it must keep. Turn off Automatic Top-up first, because unused credits are not refunded on deletion.
