I don’t have a lot of girlfriends who are super adventurous when it comes to dating, so I haven’t had a chance to compare notes on swinger dating apps. Wouldn’t that be a funny topic to chat about over brunch?! 😂On my quest to branch out into different types of dating apps and test our new kinds of relationships, I came across FabSwingers.
From what I can see, this is pretty hyped up for its large population of swingers and despite it looking like it was from the dark ages, I loved the ‘fun, free and fabulous’ description – especially the free part!! I signed up after reading a few FabSwingers reviews and started looking around.
Like I mentioned, it had a pretty unattractive layout when I first came across it and it feels very 90s, tbh. Buuuuuut, we know better than to judge a book by its cover, right? So what did I find while working on my FabSwingers review?!

Signing up for FabSwingers is quick and easy - just fill out the registration form on the homepage to get started! After signing up for FabSwingers, I could flesh out my profile and add more photos.
With my profile all setup, I could start browsing other members, customizing my search preferences, and checking out the site's unique features (more on those later). I could also use the chat rooms and forums to connect with the FabSwingers community too!
Once I found a potential match, I could send winks, a message, add them to my hotlist, or invite them as a friend. I could pretty much do everything with a free account, but upgrading to Site Supporter status gave me an ad-free experience with a bit more perks. Oh! One thing I thought was really cool – much like I mentioned in my SwingLifestyle review, there’s a verification process available member to member. FabSwingers seems to be a legit hookup platform. One thing I really appreciated was the thorough photo verification process. If you want to get verified, you have to submit a pic of yourself (or both of you, if you’re a couple) holding a sign with "FabSwingers.com" and your username. They then check against your member photos. This helps cut down on fake profiles and catfishing. I did notice the site says it can either be your face, or a full length nude if you don’t show your face, which seemed kinda strange?!
Another thing that helped its legitimacy is members also validate each other, which is like vouching that you’ve met or interacted with the other person and they’re legit.

1. First, I click on the Join Today button. After clicking on it, I was redirected to the registration page.
I needed to provide some personal deets like my preferred username, email address, and password. Fabswingers.com also asks whether you’re on the site as a male, female, male couple, female couple, or trans. So, there is no need to worry about inclusion– FabSwingers opens its doors to everyone!
After filling in my birth deets, I had to enter a security code and confirm that I am above 18.
2. Choose my preferences! This step is pretty quick and takes less than a minute. In this step, I fill out my preferences like who I’m interested in (man, woman, couple, trans). Besides choosing my preferred age group and country of residence (which defaults to UK, so be sure to change it), I also got to choose whether I can travel to meet other members or accommodate them.
As I was creating my account, I noticed a green colored notification on the sides that updated me on how many steps remained. Just 2 steps to go!
3. Next up, it was time to get personal! I add my state, country, area code, and town. Other details I shared include my sexuality, date of birth, ethnicity, and drinking habits. I also had to state whether or not I have piercings.
4. This step is optional! Here it asked me to customize my profile with a headline, a lil’ bio box for additional details about myself, and my kinks/interests.

First though, I got this notification inquiring whether I wanted email notifications for actions like winks, messages, and friend invites. No thanks. My inbox is insanely busy as it is. 😆
I clicked on ‘start exploring’ and was a bit disappointed by the main feed! FabSwingers’ main feed felt more like a classified than a dating site. It’s just a bit too busy and text-based for a modern day dating site, but I loved that I had all options displayed on the homepage. I could use the top nav to get to all the important parts of the site like:

FabSwingers profiles are pretty basic - no fancy design or layout here (is that really a surprise though?!). But they get the job done in terms of sharing the essential info, like:
