What is SwingLifestyle & who is it for?

SwingLifestyle (aka SLS… like the hotel) is an international niche dating site for swingers looking to interact with like-minded singles and couples. It does seem to be primarily male from the stats I was seeing (over 75% of their users!)

The site claims to be the oldest swinger site and has been around since 2001. It allows members to upload photos, videos and even join swinger groups (and there appears to be over 16,000 groups according to the homepage!)

As I mentioned earlier, they do expand into IRL events like swingers cruises and swingers parties, and they have a lot of community based features like clubs, articles, forums, groups, stories, etc. I noticed they have “Bliss Cruise 2024” available!

Who is SwingLifestyle best for?

So how exactly did SwingLifestyle.com work once I signed up??

How does SwingLifestyle.com work?

SwingLifestyle.com is more of a community than a dating app from what I discovered! First, I had to go through the sign up process as either an individual or couple (which was a great addition considering it’s a swingers site! No need to have two separate profiles.)

Once I was all registered and approved, I was able to adjust anything on my profile, including adding more pictures, private pictures, etc.

Then I was able to jump into interacting with other members. Depending on what my membership was at the time, I was able to view and search profiles to see if there was anyone I was attracted to. Then I could do things like send them “mail”, video IM, group video chat etc. I could also peruse the forums and groups, or even read some stories if I wanted to entertain myself while browsing.

Is the SwingLifestyle app legit?

✅Yes!

The SwingLifestyle app is legit! It’s been around the block and it shows, especially since there are still pretty active members here after all these years. Definitely not the most attractive interface (sorry, you know I’m a bit of a design snob bbs), but it gets the job done nonetheless.

📝 The TL;DR on SwingLifestyle app

The Swing Lifestyle app has a ton of features – I was pretty surprised! I call it more of a community than an app, particularly because it promotes offline events and social gatherings. It kinda takes the pressure off finding someone right away bc there’s so much to explore.

Here’s a quick on what I found out about Swing Lifestyle site in a nutshell:

• It’s a community for swingers looking to meet outside the app.
• Has an Android and iOS app for ease of use on the go! We love a good app.
• There’s a free account and features to use if you want to try it out first.
• Premium members can form and join groups.
• Members can verify profiles.
• Site overall feels a little bit outdated, but gets the job done.
• Members can “certify” other members or couples they’ve met IRL and vouch for them! This is a very cool (and pretty unique) feature.

How to delete SwingLifestyle.com account?: It’s quick and painless! You can delete your Swinglifestyle.com account by clicking on tools on the menu. Click on the ‘Delete Your Profile’ button and follow the provided instructions. You’ll be prompted to cancel your premium membership before you delete your account completely.

Is SwingLifestyle free to use?: Yas! The SwingLifestyle site is free to use. Like most other dating sites, you’ll need to upgrade to premium to really take advantage of the full experience. A premium account allows you to send messages, view all profiles, create groups, and participate in forums.

Is there a SwingLifestyle free trial?: Yes! There’s a SwingLifestyle free trial available. I wouldn’t recommend a free account, though, if you’re looking to send or respond to messages, join groups, or do much else on the site. Great to get your feet wet though!

Does SwingLifestyle have verified accounts?: It does! Woo. SwingLifestyle has a unique type of verification called ‘certify’. Through this feature, you can certify whether a user is legit or not. Other members can also certify your profile, which acts as a form of verification. This is for paid members only, but free accounts can get certified. It just won’t show up until you upgrade to a paid membership!

What is the SwingLifestyle forum?: The SwingLifestyle forum is a safe space for members to interact and share stories. I recommend it if you want to make new friends and get notifications of swinger events.

What are Swingers Cruises from SwingLifestyle.com? Just what it sounds like! SwingLifstyle orchestrates a swingers cruise with activities for members. They plan a full event and vacay for swingers to have a good time and let loose.

Is there a SwingLifestyle app?

There’s a SwingLifestyle app that’s available for both iOS and Android devices. This allows you to find other swingers on the go (and also have some privacy!!)

What’s the SwingLifestyle sign up process like?

🐇Super fast – less than 5 minutes!

Signing up for SwingLifestyle.com was super fast. Here’s what the registration process was like!

1. Choose a username and profile type.

To sign up on SwingLifestyle, I had to choose a profile name, pick a password, and confirm my age. I also had to choose whether I wanted to join as a couple, male or female. Even tho I’m flying solo, I think it’s great that you can sign up as a “Couple” rather than have to use one person’s account under their name, for the both of you!

2: Next up, name, email, and location.

After choosing a username (someone had my usual one!!) the next step was to type in my name, email address, and location. A quickie process… so far, it’s a breeze and I’m optimistic this won’t take forever. 😆

3: Pick your poison!

Next up, I get to choose what I’m looking for, aka “pleasures” like whether I like to watch, what kind of touch I’m into, and if I’m open to having sex with someone other than my partner (spoiler alert: it’s just me!)

I also had to provide personal details like my age, height, weight, and sexual orientation. For sexual orientation btw, I could choose straight, bi, or bi-curious. Not very inclusive.

Unfortunately you’re not able to skip this part!

4. After filling in my “pleasures” and personal details, I also had to fill in details about my preferences on the site, like who I’d like to meet, what ages I’m interested in, and my smoking/drinking preferences.

Once done with everything, I pressed next, hoping I’d be done with everything… but I wasn’t!

5. This is where I got to talk about how amazing I am and add more details about me! On this screen were boxes for,

• A short tag line
• What I’m looking for
• A box to describe myself (physical description, personality, etc)
• Fantasies and/or real experiences
• Any other additional info I want to share.

If you’re a bit shy (👀) you don’t have to fill in details like ‘fantasies’ and ‘additional information,’ because they’re optional!

6. Once done with this step, I received a notification that my free account is under review and will be confirmed in a couple of minutes or hours. (Along with the option to upgrade already!)

The good thing is that I could still browse profiles while my account was under review. The confirmation didn’t take long though, as I was confirmed as a SwingLifestyle member around 30 minutes after registration!

The last thing I want is to have to wait to get approved despite spending minutes filling in my details (half a wine glass 🍷) but I’m grateful for the extra protection to help prevent spam profiles.

SwingLifestyle app main feed and interface

The main feed wasn’t the wooooorst I’ve seen, but it could use some help! I’d def recommend upgrading to a more modern interface, but SwingLifestyle has been around so long that it probably hasn’t needed to.

Aside from the clutter, I loved that there was a detailed menu on the left side that made it easy to find all the features of the site. This allowed me to access areas of SwingLifestyle like (whew, ready for this list?!)

• Who’s on
• Search
• Friends & favorites
• Chat
• Messages
• My wall (which feels kinda Facebook-y)
• My account preferences
• A link to the find the SwingLifestyle app
• Hot Date
• Events
• Forums, clubs and groups

• Tools (very vague, tbh, but this is where your profile and privacy settings are)

Then I could see things like who has viewed me, my newest matches, random matches, current events, etc.

The algo gods for www.SwingLifestyle.com also pulled potential matches into my feed. I didn’t quite understand the criteria the site used to recommend profiles, but I didn’t mind those that popped up anyway!

What are SwingLifestyle profiles like?

Profiles are decently detailed! I had to split this into two screenshots to show everything that was available.

On Swing Lifestyle profiles you’ll find,

• Profile photo(s) – including their gallery
• Location
• Number of “hot dates” they’re taking part in
• Last sign in
• How long they’ve been a member, and if they’re a paid account.
• The ability to request a private key
• Details about their sexuality, age, height, weight
• The age they’re looking for
• Whether or not they’re ok with smokers/drinkers (slowly moves wine glass out of the frame)
• Buttons to message them, favorite or friend them, add notes, request private keys to view their hidden photos (naughty, or just otherwise private ones 👀) and more.
• The ability to “certify” another member if you have a paid account and can vouch for them! This is a cool feature.
• A nice visual to show their level of interest in different match options (like couples, “watching” etc.)
• The answers they filled out during the signup process
• Video chat option!
• And more.

I love that there are message or video call buttons at the top of every member's profile, making it easy to initiate convos! The profiles aren’t super attractive in terms of general design or aesthetics (which kinda reflects the whole site, so not a surprise), but they do the trick of sharing a user’s preferences and what they’re interested in.

It’s worth noting that paying members have the option to make their profiles invisible to free members. This means you might not be able to view all profiles with a free account, but is also a good reason to sign up for a paid membership so you get less spam!

SwingLifestyle search capabilities

I’ve seen sites with super advanced search filters that make it easy to narrow down profiles. So how did I find SwingLifestyle.com’s filters??

If you’re the very-specific type, and I mean veeeery specific in terms of hair color, religion, or race, then you probably won’t like SwingLifestyle’s search function.

It’s not bad, but it’s basically everything members fill out when they register, and a few other options. These are the filters:

• Type (like couples, males + sexuality preference, females + sexuality preference)
• Age range
• Swinging habits, ie “watch” “soft” or “full”
• Last online (1 week, 1 month, etc)
• New members
• Pics uploaded
• Premium users
• By location
• Those that are new today or this week
• Member name

You can also choose profiles to hide, which I absolutely love. I’ve hidden profiles that are far away to ensure that only nearby peeps show up in my feed.

Like I mentioned in the bullets, SwingLifestyle also allows you to limit searches to members who have pics, are certified, or subscribe to premium packages. There’s also another search option at the bottom of the search page that you can use to search for new members or key in member names manually.

Aside from that, I can save my searches, or see who the algo gods recommended for me in the main feed!

Is SwingLifestyle free to use?

✅Yes! There’s a free account.

Yes!! Creating an account on the Swing Lifestyle website won’t cost you a dime. You will, however, need to upgrade to premium, as free accounts come with limited features! A free account can’t do much on SwingLifestyle, and I had to upgrade to premium to get a good taste of the platform.

Free vs. paid memberships for SwingLifestyle

I spent a bit of time trying out the free features before jumping into the paid subscription. Let’s do a lil Swing Lifestyle review of the features and prices! l

Features of free membership for SwingLifestyle

The free account is basic, and you can’t do tooo much without upgrading. Here’s what I could do with a free account:

• Create a profile and upload pics
• Search and view profiles (limited overall, AND searches are limited to 50 per day!)
• Block members
• Participate in forums (limited)
• View Hotdates (though this has regulations in the US so free members can’t do this anymore!)
• Get certified from other members (but it won’t display on your account unless you upgrade!)

And that’s about it. A free account can’t send or receive messages, video chat, join a group, or view private profiles. Pretty basic if you ask me!

Features & cost of SwingLifestyle paid membership

Premium is where the fun is on SwingLifestyle. I was disappointed by the extremely basic free account…it sorta felt like SwingLifestyle was forcing users to upgrade to enjoy the site! I’ve tried a lot of other sites that at least allow you to receive a message from paid members.

But I appreciated the flexible packages as you can pick a 1 month, 3 month, or 12 month subscription – whatever floats your boat. There’s also an unlimited package that makes the most sense if you’re a full-time swinger looking to use the platform for the foreseeable future. But you’ll need to part with $199.99 to purchase the unlimited package!

The premium packages will cost you the following:

• 1 Month - $24.99
• 3 Months - $49.99
• 12 Months - $99.99
• Unlimited - $199.99

Here are some of the features I could access as a premium member.

• Unlimited profile views
• Open a member’s club

What sets SwingLifestyle apart?

Every dating site has some unique features that make it stand out from the rest. Here are some of the standout features IMO for SwingLifestyle.

• Swinger Clubs: There’s an active US map where you can find swingers close to your location. You can also create a club or join existing ones!
• Hot Date: Through this feature, you can set a specific date on your calendar and let other members know your availability. It’s a quick way for premium members to set up group dates or attend events.
• Travel: Through its travel agency, SwingLifestyle plans custom trips for members. Members can attend cruises, parades, house parties, and exotic trips curated specifically for swingers.
• Groups and forums: A handy feature that makes SwingLifestyle more of a community than a dating site. Premium members can create or join groups and forums to find like-minded members.
• Sex stories: Members get to post their erotic stories if you’re looking for some spicy literature! There are thousands of erotic stories, and you can choose from categories such as bondage, exhibitionism, lesbian, group, oral, and interracial, among others.
• Private profiles and photos: Premium members can upload private photos and hide their accounts from free users. It’s a great feature for filtering out members who aren’t serious about the swinging lifestyle.
• Certifications from other members: I have seen “vouches” on other sites as far as members just being normal people and not creeps, but I haven’t seen something to certify them because you’ve met IRL! This was super cool imo.
• Lifetime membership: I liked that you could have an unlimited/lifetime membership, with early access to new features.

Pros and cons of SwingLifestyle

While working on my SwingLifestyle review, I did come across some things I loved, but also some things they could have done better.

☑️ Pros of SwingLifestyle

SwingLifestyle gets a lot of things right. Here are some of the notable ones:

• Straightforward sign up: registration was easy as I was done before I took 3 sips of wine!!
• The IRL components: I love the IRL components like cruises, events, hot dates, etc.
• Events section: this makes it easy to learn about upcoming events.
• SwingLifestyle app: It’s sad that I have to mention this, LOL. You’d be surprised how many dating sites don’t have apps. This has one avail for Android and iOS devices.
• Member base: large member base for its niche!
• “Couples” profiles: I love that couples can have a profile, instead of both people needing to have an individual one.
• Cert: Having members certify people they’re met IRL is a great feature.
• Pricing: Pricing was pretty reasonable compared to other sites. I also liked that you could have an unlimited/lifetime member, where most others usually stop at annual.

❌ Cons of SwingLifestyle

Although I loved a lot about SwingLifestyle.com, there are some areas they could improve on.

• The free membership is too basic – you can’t even receive messages, or send a small amount per day!
• The interface is a bit outdated. Ok, REALLY outdated. But it’s functional…
• The paid membership is still lacking some features to engage with other members.
• Search functionality is pretty limited, as are what people can put in their profiles.
• Even though it has a large member base for its niche, it’s def much smaller overall.
• US members can’t view Hot Dates with a free account because of new regulations, so that’s a perk we (US based members) no longer get.

Overall, the user interface seems a bit too dull for my taste and the free account is very limited compared to others. But there is a lot to like about the site from a swinger’s perspective!

Final thoughts on my SwingLifestyle review

After using Swing Lifestyle for a couple of weeks, I’d say it’s pretty decent in terms of being able to connect with members, and having a “community” feel to it! As someone dipping my toes into this style of dating, it was nice to use a dating site dedicated to swinging where I didn’t feel weird or out of place.

Although 70%+ of the users are male, there’s a good number of couples and single women committed to the lifestyle! I’ve used the platform’s groups and forums to interact with other members, and I’d strongly recommend joining as many active groups as you can since that’s where it seems the action is at.

Price point was reasonable, and if you like what you see, paying for the unlimited membership isn’t a far jump tbh, especially considering the annual cost of other dating apps. Overall, I’m pretty happy with what the site has to offer. If you’re a couple (or single) and looking to mingle with other couples, this is a good app to get started on! (Couldn’t help myself! “Swingle” didn’t have quite the same ring to it, lol.)
