Fetster Review

If you've followed my dating site reviews you know I've tried everything, but I wanted to get a feel for what sites like Fetster had to offer on the kinky side of things. 👀 I will say, Fetster was certainly different from previous dating sites I explored.

What is Fetster and who is it for?

Fetster describes themselves as "a BDSM, Kink and alternative dating site" followed by a lengthy list of things they're not. They really laid it all out right up front. It's also partly focused on being a place for people to learn about different kinks and the community!

But how legit is Fetster?

There weren't a lot of security measures during signup, but Fetster urges you to report suspicious profiles. For every spam profile, I found way more legit ones.

Privacy: Go to "My Preferences" and change permissions under Privacy tab , Everyone, My Friends, or Only Me.

Verification: Follow steps under "Verified Users" in the top navigation to get a verified marker.

Is Fetster still free in 2026?

Yes. I checked fetster.com again in October 2026: the homepage still calls it "100% free" and "Free forever", with unlimited messaging, search by kink, interests and location, member-made groups, blogs, forums and confessions. There is still no paid plan.

Is there a Fetster app?

No Fetster app. Seems to be a theme with kink dating sites!

What's the sign up process like?

Super easy! One long sign up page broken into sections: accept cookies, location (typed not dropdown , weird!), email/password/name/gender (lots of inclusive options), sexuality/identity/relationship status, who you're seeking, what you're here for, referral source, physical details, legal stuff, profile pic, and CAPTCHA. No email verification needed , they manually verify accounts in about 15 minutes.

How does Fetster work once logged in?

Super simple. Change privacy settings, check out featured profiles, browse who's online/nearby. Started getting messages pretty fast!

What are the Fetster search options like?

For a basic free site, really impressive! Search by recently active, featured, ethnicity, age, gender, sexuality, kinks/fetishes/lifestyles, username, and all profile fields.

What are Fetster profiles like?

Simple , view all info they put in, block, add as friend, send messages, view pics.

Is Fetster free? For real?

Yes!! All features free: create profile, search, send messages, check out venues, view events, join groups, post anonymous "Confessions," learn about BDSM, watch videos/pics from members.

What sets Fetster apart?

Final thoughts

Fetster felt like an inclusive place to start for kinky dating. It's not a seedy back-alley dating site , it's a place for people with similar interests to meet. An easy sign-up process and being completely free makes this a win! Hopefully they update the site over time. 😈
