MiaRomance Review 2026: Real Profiles or Scam?
The Miaromance dating site is a real, working website, but I would not pay for it if you want an actual date. It is a web-only, pay-per-message chat site for international conversation, run by a company it does not name, with no public price list and a steady stream of complaints about credits that run out fast and profiles that feel fake. If you want a relationship, a site with a published subscription price is the safer bet.
What is the Miaromance dating site, and who runs it?
Miaromance (miaromance.com) describes itself in Google’s results as a place to “explore profiles, start conversations, and see where your chats take you”. On its Trustpilot profile it calls itself “an online socializing platform for those who appreciate romantic communication”. The pitch is long-distance conversation with people from other countries, not meeting someone in your town next weekend.
Here is what I could confirm about the business in October 2026:
- It is young. The domain was registered on June 19, 2023, according to the official .com registry record. Its review profiles were claimed in November 2024.
- No company name or address. Trustpilot and SmartCustomer list only “United States”. Support addresses differ by platform: support@miaromance.help on Trustpilot, support@miaromance.com on Reviews.io.
- The site blocks outside readers. In October 2026 miaromance.com refused every automated request, so its terms and in-app prices could not be read without signing up. Its robots file also keeps search engines away from everything except the homepage and sign-up page.
An anonymous operator is not proof of a scam. It does mean that if a charge goes wrong, you are dealing with a support inbox, not a company you can look up.
Who Miaromance is for
The site is for adults 18+. Its own marketing and every third-party page in the search results describe the same use: open-ended chat with people abroad, with no promise of meeting.
- Might suit: someone who wants pen-pal style conversation with people in other countries, knows it is paid chat, and can stop at a fixed budget.
- Skip it if: you want local dates, you want to meet in person soon, you are on a tight budget, or you find it hard to walk away from a conversation that keeps costing you.
How Miaromance works
Sign-up is free and short: gender, who you want to meet, first name, date of birth and email, then a short quiz on what you are looking for, a bio and a photo. A 2025 feature article, which is labeled as sponsored by Miaromance, lists the tools:
- Chat for quick, real-time messages, with paid stickers.
- Mail for longer letters, with up to 10 photos attached.
- People, a swipe-style carousel of profiles, plus search filters by country and age.
- Like, Wink and Follow to show interest for free, and “Let’s Talk” prompts with ready-made openers.
Reviewers on all three review platforms agree on one thing: the layout is simple and uncluttered. Complaints about the tools are about freezing on mobile and search settings that reset each session, both reported on Reviews.io and SmartCustomer.
Is the Miaromance dating site free? What it costs
Miaromance has no subscription. You buy credit packs and spend them per action. Free: creating an account and profile, browsing, search filters, likes and winks. Paid: sending messages, mails, stickers and photos or videos in chat, according to the sponsored article above. Nothing renews by itself, which is the one upside of the model.
The site does not publish its prices outside the logged-in area, so I cannot print an official price list. What users report:
- A datingsitesreviews.com forum post says Mia Romance gives 65 credits for $9.99, the same as BestDates and MexicanLoves.
- A Reddit thread in r/datingoverforty that ranks for this search calls it a site where you buy credits to see videos of the person you are chatting with, with prices starting at $9.99.
- A Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 says live chat costs 2 credits per minute, and that $20 bought about 33 minutes.
Put those reports together and the math is sobering. At 65 credits for $9.99 and 2 credits a minute, the starter pack buys about 32 minutes of chat, roughly $18.50 an hour. At the $20 for 33 minutes another user reports, an hour of chat costs about $36. Letters, photos and videos come on top. These are user reports, not prices I could check at the source (October 2026), and the cost depends on how long the other person keeps you talking, not on you.
If you try it anyway:
- decide a monthly cap before you buy, and start with the smallest pack;
- check the credit cost of chat, mail and media in your account before you open a conversation;
- decline any automatic top-up or saved card offered at checkout;
- be wary when a conversation keeps getting longer without moving toward a video call.
Real profiles or scam? What reviewers report
The review platforms tell different stories, and the differences matter.
| Platform | Score | Reviews | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | 3.3 / 5 | 237 | 46% five stars, 29% one star. Profile claimed by Miaromance in November 2024; the company replies to 96% of negative reviews. |
| SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) | 3.8 / 5 | 28 | 64% five stars, 18% one star. The business sent 186 review invitations in 12 months, and most reviews are tagged as invited. |
| Reviews.io | 4.1 / 5 | 22 | Mostly positive, with several reviews suspecting bots or AI-generated profiles. |
Ratings checked October 2026.
The highest scores come from the smallest samples, many of them invited by the company. The largest sample, Trustpilot, has almost a third of reviewers giving one star. One positive review roundup in the top results quoted a 3.7 Trustpilot score from about 30 reviews in 2025; with eight times more reviews today, the score is lower. The recurring complaints:
- Cost: “very high” prices, credits that drain fast, and one reviewer saying the card was charged but the credits never arrived.
- Profiles that feel staged: several October 2026 Trustpilot reviewers describe a flood of chats right after email verification, profiles claiming to be doctors, photos that look AI-generated and pressure to spend on private messages and virtual gifts. On Reviews.io, a man says replies called him “her”, which suggests scripted answers.
- No real meetings: one Trustpilot reviewer sums it up as a pay-to-play chat room where nobody will meet you in real life.
The positive reviews praise friendly conversations, an easy layout and quick support for login or credit issues. None of this proves every profile is fake. But when you pay per minute, the people you talk to have no cost to keep you talking, and you cannot see who runs the site, all the risk sits with you. That is why it gets a warning here.
Safety and verification
Miaromance’s public safety claims come only from promotional pages: block and report tools, profiles hidden from search engines, encrypted messages, and optional identity confirmation through an outside provider. I could not read the site’s own terms or safety pages to confirm any of them, and nothing public explains what its verification checks or whether chat partners are paid or moderated by the site. On SmartCustomer, one user says they created a test profile with photos taken from the internet and were contacted by men, which suggests profiles are not checked at sign-up.
Outside scammers are a separate risk from paid chat. Pew Research found that 52% of Americans who have used dating sites or apps came across someone they thought was trying to scam them (Pew, 2023). The FTC’s romance scam guide lists the signs to watch for:
- they live far away and always have a reason they cannot meet;
- they build trust fast, chatting several times a day;
- they ask for money for travel, visas, medical bills or a crypto “investment”;
- they want payment by wire, gift card, money transfer app or crypto, and they rush you.
The FTC’s bottom line: never send money or gifts to someone you have not met in person. Run a reverse image search on photos that look too polished, insist on a live video call before you trust anyone, and report scams at ReportFraud.ftc.gov as well as to the site.
Is there a Miaromance app?
No. In October 2026 a search of the US App Store and Google Play turned up no Miaromance app, and promotional pages for the site say you use it through the mobile website. That matters for money: you pay the site directly by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, per the promotional pages), with no Apple or Google refund process behind you.
Is MiaDate the same site?
Google’s “People also ask” box mixes the two up, but MiaDate is a separate site on its own domain, registered in 2011, that pitches international dating with “real women”. Nothing on either site’s public pages links them, so treat them as different services and judge each on its own terms. The same caution applies: if a site sells chat by the credit, check the price per message before you start.
Pros and cons
- Free to join, browse and send likes or winks.
- No subscription, so nothing renews on its own.
- Simple, uncluttered layout, by most reviewers’ account.
- Support answers most reviews and complaints quickly.
- Credit prices are not published, and users report chat billed per minute.
- No named company, no readable terms without an account, and a domain only from 2023.
- Repeated reports of profiles that look staged, scripted or AI-generated.
- No app, and no clear verification process.
- Built for chatting, not for meeting: almost no reviewer describes an in-person date.
How to stop paying and delete your Miaromance account
There is no subscription, so you stop paying simply by not buying more credits. To close things properly:
- Remove any saved card in your account’s payment settings, so nothing can be charged by mistake.
- Ask about unspent credits first. The promotional pages say refunds are possible “with valid justification”; ask support before you close the account, and keep the reply.
- Request deletion in writing from your registered email, to support@miaromance.help (the address on its Trustpilot profile) or through the site’s contact form, and ask for confirmation that your profile and photos are erased.
- Watch your card statement for a month. If a charge looks wrong, contact support first, then your bank.
Miaromance alternatives
If what you want is a real date, choose a site with a published price and real member-to-member messaging:
- Match: long-running subscription site for serious dating, rated 4 out of 5.
- eHarmony: compatibility matching for people who want a relationship, rated 4 out of 5.
- OkCupid: a big mainstream app with a useful free tier, rated 4 out of 5.
- Dating.com: if international chat is what drew you to Miaromance. It also charges per action, so read my full review before paying; rated 3 out of 5.
Sites built on the same credit model, which I would also approach with caution: BestDates, MexicanLoves and LovesMoments. For better options, see my serious dating sites rankings or browse all my reviews.
How I rate it
My 2 out of 5 is based on public pricing, features, safety tools, app store reputation and value, not on hands-on use. Value for money 1.5 (free to browse, but chat reportedly billed per minute at roughly $18 to $36 an hour, with no public prices), safety and verification 1.5 (block and report tools claimed, but no verification process I could confirm and reports of unchecked profiles), evidence of an active user base 2 (237 Trustpilot reviews and recent activity, but no member numbers and many complaints about staged chats), features for its audience 2.5 (chat, mail, swipe browsing and search, but no app), transparency 1.5 (no named company, no readable terms or prices without an account). Average 1.8, rounded to 2.
Frequently asked questions
Is Miaromance a legit dating site?
It is a real, working website, online since 2023, and the company answers reviews on Trustpilot. But it names no company, publishes no prices, sells chat by the credit, and many reviewers report profiles that feel staged or AI-generated. Treat it as paid chat entertainment rather than a dating site.
Is Miaromance free?
Signing up, building a profile, browsing, search filters, likes and winks are free. Messages, mails, stickers and photos or videos in chat cost credits. Users report packs starting at $9.99 and live chat at 2 credits per minute, but the site does not publish its prices outside the logged-in area.
What is Miaromance?
Miaromance (miaromance.com) is a web-based chat site for long-distance, international conversation, with chat, longer mails, a swipe-style People page and search by country and age. It runs on credits instead of a subscription and has no app on the App Store or Google Play.
Is MiaDate the same as Miaromance?
No. MiaDate (miadate.com) is a separate site on its own domain, registered in 2011, and nothing on either site's public pages links them. Judge each on its own terms and check the price per message before paying either one.
How do I contact Miaromance customer service?
Its Trustpilot profile lists support@miaromance.help, and Reviews.io lists support@miaromance.com; the site also has a contact form for members. No phone number or street address is published.
Which dating app is the least scammy?
Look for a site with a published subscription price, member-to-member messaging and real verification, rather than pay-per-message chat. Match and eHarmony, both rated 4 out of 5 on this site, fit that description for serious dating, and OkCupid is a solid free option.
