If you’ve been keeping up with my dating app reviews, then you know that the prospect of trying out new dating sites excites me. After experimenting with sugar dating and BDSM sites, I felt it was time to try out a swinger site… and one particular platform I came across was Swingers Dating Club (SDC). SDC.com seemed like the most approachable site for me to start exploring the swinger scene, so I checked in with my girlfriends (the ones who I knew wouldn’t have questions, LOL) after scoping it out, but none of them heard of it yet.
Some other swinger sites require both partners to have profiles, but SDC allows singles too! When I first checked out the site, I noticed they've been around for over 20 years connecting swingers worldwide. They’re still going strong, so that’s a good sign.
Plus, there are a lot of unique features that I’ve never seen in other apps. I could attend parties, schedule events, create a travel calendar, and even use the SDC BNB feature (kinda like an AirBnB, more on this later). One thing that stood out about SDC dating app is its wealth of sex educational resources, like blog posts, a podcast, swingers glossary, and several communities designed to make members feel at home. Beyond dating, there are also parties, events, travel, and contests I mentioned earlier!
When I was browsing profiles, I noticed a wide age range but most seemed to be 30s-40s, with a pretty even gender split between men and women.

To join the Swingers Dating Club, you’ll need to create an account – you can sign up as a single (male or female) or as a couple. Couples can link their profiles together, which is a great feature! After signing up, you fill out your profile with pics, info about yourself and what you're looking for. You can get pretty detailed about what you’re interested in from a swinging perspective too.
Once your account is approved, you’ll have a week (!!!) to try out the account before your free account expires. You can browse member profiles, view speed dating, chat, view groups, and more. Upgrading to premium gives you the chance to experience the site’s core features like viewing more than one member photo, posting speed dates, getting discounts from members and businesses, events, travel, and forums.

In my experience, Swingers Dating Club felt very legit and not at all scammy. The profiles I saw looked real, with detailed bios and authentic pics. No one bombarded me with spammy messages right after signing up.
Swingers Dating Club is legit and is among the few sites that take photo verification seriously. To reduce issues of catfishing and scamming, members can validate each other to prove their legitimacy. According to most SDC reviews, it’s best to stick with profiles that have been validated multiple times, so there may be some spam lurking around that I just didn’t see yet.

My first impression of the SDC website is that it's a haven for swingers. Swingers Dating Club's signup process was pretty straightforward and similar to other dating sites I've used too. Here's what I noticed:
How to delete SDC.com account: Deleting your SDC.com account is pretty easy. Just click on the ‘settings’ button (top right) and click on ‘account’, where you’ll see the ‘delete account’ button.
Is SDC free to use?: SDC isn’t free to use forever – you’ll need to upgrade to a premium package once your 7-day trial expires! Your account goes to an “expired” one without access to 99% of the features.
Is there an SDC free trial?: Yep, that’s basically the 7 days you get free. Lol.
Does SDC.com have verified profiles?: SDC.com doesn’t have verified profiles. But there is a feature called ‘validations’ where members can vouch for each other, and they have a very stringent profile approval process when you sign up.
Is there an SDC app?: Yep! There’s an SDC app available for both iOS and Android devices.
Do I have to be a swinger for an SDC membership?: Nope! While swinger couples are the main user base for the SDC dating app, it's open to anyone interested in non-monogamous erotic adventures. You can either sign up as a single or couple, but the entire site is tailored around swinging.

Signing up for an SDC dating account was a pretty quick and easy process. I had my profile up and running in about 5 minutes. Here's how registering for SDC.com works:
1. Choose your profile type. When signing up on the SDC swinger site, I had to choose whether I was registering as a couple, single, or business. I was surprised to see ‘business’ since I haven’t seen that anywhere else. So... are company swing events a write-off off then?! Or is this just for businesses to sign up and provide discounts, events etc? 🤔
I hovered over the business button and saw several options like Club, Party Organizers, Shop, Restaurant, and Photography, among other options. Pretty neat.
2. Next up, choosing my interests! There's also a 'slogan' section and an 'about me' section where I provided additional details about myself!
Then I added in my birthdate and details like sexuality and relationship orientation (open-minded, monogamous, polyamorous, or swinger).
What I loved is the “Interests” section let me choose the combination for couples that I was interested in (or singles!) like male, female, couple (MM), couple (FF), couple (MF), couple (MFM), couple (FMF), and TS/TV/TG. Plus when you click into them, you can get more detailed.
For example, when I clicked Couple Male/Female, a box popped up to check if I’m open to Girl on Girl, Soft Swap or Full Swap.
From there it also let me add a whole bunch of details like,
Filling out everything was relatively straightforward, as the process mostly involved ticking boxes and typing a few words. You should be done with everything in 5 minutes or less!

3. Email confirmation! The final stage was confirming my email, and I was good to go – hooray!
After confirming my email, I was redirected to a dull-ish homepage. But I liked that I could expand or minimize the menu on the homepage. By clicking on the menu button (top left) I could turn the drop-down feature on or off. #LittleWins

The main feed of SDC has a pretty simple design, but it’s super colorful! It's not going to win any beauty contests, but it gets the job done and is fun to look at.
I didn’t see too many profiles on my main feed, which was a bit of a concern, considering there were over 20,000 members online (as per site data). But I liked being able to see how many members are online (not too sure if the data is accurate), nearby parties and events, chatrooms, and even the speed date feature (more on this later.)

You can also see the groups that a user has subscribed to and his or her validation. The validate feature is kinda like a ‘review’ where other members vouch for you. You can check a user’s validation to determine whether or not they’re legit based on their interactions with other members.
I’ve seen this on a few other dating sites, too, but this one is visually nice and easy to read.
SDC likes to keep things simple, which is refreshing considering how cluttered some other dating sites can get just to search for a match! You can spot the ‘search’ button on the top right part of the home page.
With the basic search above, I could type in a profile name or keyword, and choose from one of the options to search different areas of the site. This was a bit weird, so I went to the advanced member search option. With this feature, you can narrow down results using filters like:

Yes!! Creating an SDC account is free… however, the free trial is only valid for 7 days, after which you’ll need to upgrade to Premium to get the good stuff and you’re back to a regular free account with very limited features! 😐 I’ll be comparing the free and paid options in the next section.
The free membership comes with tons of perks, as I could view profiles, send (and receive) messages, and send friend requests without paying a dime. The main problem, however, is that I could only enjoy the free features for 7 days. All free members have to upgrade to continue enjoying the Premium features.
A trial account gives you a taste of what to expect with a Premium account. There are limits to a free account though, and I could only send a maximum of 10 messages a day. There’s also a cap on the number of likes and friend requests you can send, which stands at 10 throughout the entire period.

Sorry bbs, a free account can't send videos, post private events, or create/join groups. Tbh, the free account is really more of a preview than a usable membership because once it expires and converts to a true ‘free’ account, you can’t even view pictures anymore! If you asked me before if I would have stayed active on a swinger site like SDC for this long, my answer probably would have been no! But after spending time getting to know the lifestyle and exploring while working on my SDC review, I'd say it's a fantastic option for dipping your toes in as a newbie. The massive user base and IRL events make it easy to connect with like-minded people who are all excited for the same thing. I didn’t get bombarded with a lot of messages that felt fake, and I had a few really good conversations and potential meet-ups.
You’ll prob need to shell out for a premium membership to get the most out of the site – there isn’t much to do without it! And the design is a bit clunky and outdated, but the active community and unique features make up for it IMO. Whether you're a longtime swinger or just swinger-curious, SDC is definitely worth checking out. Try out the free trial first, but chances are you’ll enjoy it enough to upgrade for at least a month.
