I loved how it was a niche geek dating site specifically for people with interests like mine. The website also says it's 100% free… I'm a little skeptical about fully free dating sites, so let's see!
What is SoulGeek and who is it for?
SoulGeek is a legit international geek dating site created by voice-over actor Dino Andrade after his wife passed away. He was inspired when he heard a girl say "I hope I can find a Geek of my own here" at a Battlestar Galactica event. Created June 20th, 2007.
For: Singles interested in geekery (comics, games, anime, collectibles), people looking for friendship, polyamorous couples, people looking for free dating.
Not for: Casual flings, people only marginally interested, swingers, privacy-conscious people.
How does SoulGeek.com work?
View the data feed, use advanced search or quick search, and there's an "autoscan" feature that scans the entire site weekly for matches! Browse by latest pics, music/videos, or blog posts. Connect via virtual gifts, following, friend requests, or messages.
Is SoulGeek legit?
Yes! Members seemed like real people with legit profiles. As for it being 100% free — it is! I didn't run into any paid features.

Fairly fast — 5 minutes! One long form with essentials (nickname, password, email, birthday), specs (ethnicity, body type, style with fun options like "two hearts" and "evil minions"), "In a Nutshell" questions including your fake car choice, and open-ended sections about yourself. Then upload pics and you're in!

Packed with goodies! View profile, search, view members/photos, music/video/blogs, forums, chat, preferences, games, featured SoulGeeks, "Bridge" for matches/bookmarks/friends, member statuses, friend activities, gifts, and more.
What are SoulGeek profiles like?

Final thoughts
SoulGeek was really fun despite not having a mobile app! The site was quirky with lots of creative features. I found it one of the more interesting interactive dating sites, but with all the different ways to meet someone, I met absolutely no one despite multiple attempts! There are active users though — over 2 weeks I had 7 messages and 5 gifts. Worth trying since it's free!
