Next up: we're heading to the metaverse, bayyy-bee. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to find the Kippo dating app even though I heard so much about it. Originally, it was just a gamer dating site you could access from your desktop or via an app, but when I went to the site it was just an image of an X. So what happened here? Kippo originally launched in 2018 and is (now) both a dating app and social app that's metaverse-based. It asked if I was there for dating! So, it looks like it still is, but you can also use it to find friends and game together.
You'll have an avatar you can customize which makes it feel gamer-esque inherently. Imagine something like a mini Decentraland & dating combined, and that's what you get here.
The user base and target audience skew younger, so if you're an elder millennial or older, you may feel like a fish out of water.
The TL;DR on Kippo dating app
Some quickie notes about the Kippo app: It was confusing to find at first and can only be used via a mobile app. Once I signed up, I was able to match with a bunch of cuties really quickly but it's definitely not a place for quick hookups or casual sex. It lets you turn off DMs so you can browse first before chatting.
I was pleasantly surprised to find genuine profiles and a nice mix of men, women and non-binary instead of it being overly male.
How to delete Kippo account: Head over to "settings" on the main screen that shows your avatar's "room." Scroll down to the bottom to "delete app" and voila!
Is all my data deleted if I cancel? Yep, all your matches and conversations will be gone.
Can I deactivate Kippo account? Head over to the same place where the "delete account" option is. You can also just turn off "show me on Kippo" in your settings.

Yep, there's only an app now, so if you're someone that wants the desktop experience, this isn't for you. The Kippo app is available on both iOS and Android.
What's the sign up process like for Kippo dating app?
The sign up process will be 100% mobile. It was really quick compared to some of the other gamer dating apps I signed up for. You sign up with a phone number or Apple ID, enter your name and birthday, add a profile pic, approve permissions, then create an avatar. After that, set up your dating preferences and you're in!
What's searching and matching like on Kippo app?
The Kippo dating app has your usual search filters and was really intuitive. I was able to browse by gender identity, distance/location radius, age range, and hide people just looking for friends.
The algo gods also serve up cuties for you to match with on your feed. Every profile lets you hit X, ♥️, or send a DM. If you accidentally X or ♥️ someone, you can rewind and go back!
