An ASTROLOGY DATING APP?! Are you kiiiiidding me?! I was crazy bored the other night and went browsing in my app store in search of a new dating app to try out. I saw NUiT's tagline, "Your perfect match is written in the stars!" and was so excited since I'm a BIG astrology nerd!
I was even more pumped to know that NUiT is LGBTQ+ friendly, and I couldn't wait to see what the stars had in store!
What is NUiT App?
It's pretty straight forward: NUiT is an LGBTQ+ friendly dating app that uses astrology to find your most compatible match. NUiT provides personality reports, birth charts, your level of compatibility with another user, as well as relationship advice. While most users are looking for a relationship, others can use it to find something casual, a friendship, or even a lifelong partner.
It was founded by Natalie Frangi and fully launched in 2018, so it's been around a few years. Given how big mainstream astrology has become the past few years, I feel like it's here to stay!
Is NUiT legit?
NUiT is definitely a legit dating app, though it may be frustrating at first if you find no users in your area. That was the only thing that really stuck out to me, but once I expanded my distance filter (even though it included people within 150 miles from me) I was able to see people within 3 miles from me.
To add to the legitimacy, it has a pretty decent rating of 3.6 out of 181 ratings, and was featured in Cosmopolitan as one of the best astrology based dating apps!

You can "Star" someone on NUiT: Starring someone lets them know that you like them without having to send them a message, aka, connection request.

How to delete NUiT app: Deleting the NUiT app is super easy — tap on your profile, click on settings, scroll down to "Delete Account", and confirm.
Is NUiT app free? From what I can see, everything is free! My guess is they wanna get more users on before implementing a paid tier.
Can I hide myself on NUiT? Yep, you have the option in "Settings" under "Hide me from explore."
Is there a NUiT app to use?
Yep! You can download either the iOS or Android version, but FYI there is no option to sign on from a desktop.
What's the sign up process like for NUiT?
Signing up with NUiT was super easy with only 6 steps! NUiT gives the standard ways of signing up: Email address, Apple ID, or FB. Next, I fill out my name, username, and bio. Then I fill in some info about me such as my gender, orientation, what I'm here for, and who I'm interested in looking for.
NUiT does admit that their gender selection is limited, but they are working on it. To their credit though, NUiT has a decent selection for orientation including Heteroflexible, Sapiosexual, Homoflexible, and Demisexual.
*Sidenote - There is an option to not view or be viewed by straight people if you choose any other orientation besides straight which is EXTREMELY convenient for the LGBTQ+ community!
After adding pics and birth info (where I'm born, DOB, time of birth, and astrology knowledge level), I read the privacy policy and was done!
What can you customize on your NUiT profile?
Not a lot tbh! It's pretty much whatever was in the NUiT app sign up flow. You're able to customize the usual stuff like a short bio, your gender, what gender you're interested in, sexual orientation, what you're here for, and how much astrology knowledge you have.
What are the search capabilities for the NUiT App?
I could change my preferences to show me different users depending on the ranges I picked. I was able to filter by age, sexual orientation/who you're interested in, zodiac sign, distance, and you can teleport to other locations as well!
Since everything is focused on astrological compatibility, there aren't a ton of filters.
What's astrological compatibility & matching like on NUiT!?
Once you click into someone who is a potential match, you can see your "compatibility." It'll show you a neat little visual with scores for things like kindness and supportiveness, which is nice!
Free and paid subscriptions for the NUiT App
This is the most recent app I have come across that has NO paid options. I actually liked the idea of not having a paid option because it makes everyone equal and on the same playing field.
Free features include: Send and receive connection requests, star those you like, send gifs/pics/videos, daily horoscope, free basic and advanced birth chart, compatibility with others, search filters, and the ability to teleport to other areas.
Tbh, I couldn't find a paid tier! There also no extra paid add on options. Not that I'm complaining!
What sets NUiT apart from other dating apps?

What were the pros and cons of the NUiT dating app?
What I liked about the NUiT app
- Beautiful layout
- Option to "hide" from straight people
- Can block users you don't feel comfortable with
- The whole niche/premise around using astrology for matching
- Its inclusivity
- Being able to see how your traits align as a match!
What I didn't like about the NUiT app
- Lack of users in my area — had to set distance to "Universe"
- Some reviews mention inaccuracy in birth chart house placements
- Email validation not required — potential for false profiles
- Can't engage in various ways like winks, nudges, etc.
- Concerning terms of service about content rights
Final thoughts for my NUiT app review
After using it for a bit, I really loved the concept of using astrology to find matches. Once I got over the hurdle of finding matches in my area, I had a lot of luck and some really interesting convos!
I also loved how I didn't feel pressured to jump right into dating lingo. I think it would be really interesting to see more dating apps like NUiT that focus on building a spiritual connection first. Was it one of the best dating sites? I def think it has room to grow but I loooooooved using it! All in all, NUiT left me with stars in my eyes! And a spunky lil' Aquarius I'm still chatting with. ;)
