I'm on a quest to find the best cougar dating site, and Cougar Fling is an age gap focused dating site I came across while researching. It's for mature women looking to date younger singles and have some fun.

How does Cougar Fling Work?

Old school registration form with fast signup. Once in, you're shown a list of people to chat with or search manually. "Rapid Match" is Tinder-style swiping. Be careful — "our friends" and "cams online now" links take you to partner/affiliate sites!

A feature I loved: setting filters on who can contact you for first messages!

No. Sigh. But the site is mobile friendly!

Super fast — less than 5 minutes! Choose who you are/looking for, age range, city. Then email, username, password, DOB. Upload one photo. Height, ethnicity, body type. Headline and description. Then they push you to a subscription page before even seeing the site!

Decent interface, not overly cluttered. Fresh new profiles, quick search, browse members, contacts, favorites, rapid match, icebreakers, mailbox, and who's online. "Free Conversations" unlocked by filling out 50%+ of profile!

Profiles

Basic but informative: age, description, horoscope, location/distance, who they are/seeking, pics, online status, last online, appearance info. No profile verification though.

Search capabilities

Quick search, advanced search (body type, ethnicity, personality, interests), browse members by pics, and Rapid Match swiping.

Free vs. paid

Free: Create profile, check profiles, quick search, Rapid Match, favorites, block/report, contact filters, automated interest message, 30 free flirts, one free icebreaker.

Premium: 5-day trial at $1/day. 1 month at $32.95. 3 months at $14.99/month. Unlimited emails/flirts/IMs, invisible mode, all member pics, disable ads, 24/7 support.

Final thoughts

Good start if you're new to cougar dating. Experienced users may be turned off by the outdated UI. It was really hard to get conversations going! I wasn't a fan of being pulled into partner sites. But if you have the time, it might be worth a free try!
