I recently found out about "geeky" dating sites from my Comic-Con partner in crime. I wanted to give it another go after SoulGeek, so I found Geek2Geek. Right off the bat, the site talks about bringing matches together for long-term relationships, not flings. The site feels a little outdated, so we'll see if the features and members make up for it!
What is Geek2Geek and who is it for?
Founded in Miami in 2004, Geek2Geek is an international dating site for those who don't fit into a certain box, with a big banner saying "Find your geek match." It has a couple hundred thousand members — small by dating site standards. Heavy male presence but does cater to the LGBTQ+ community.
Best for: Singles looking for geeky counterparts, long-term relationships, algorithm matching, and those who prefer PayPal payment.
Not for: Couples, casual flings, non-geek interests, extensive features, mobile app users, large dating pools, or verified profile filters.
How does Geek2Geek work?
Use the search options or click "find matches" to let the algorithm work. Send messages or flirts depending on your account type. Profiles are approved within 24 hours. You can favorite people or hide your profile from search results.
Is Geek2Geek legit?
Yes! They don't sell personal info to third parties and use Thawte SSL Web Server Certificates. Some reviews mentioned issues with canceling payments, depending on payment method.

What I liked about Geek2Geek
- Niche dating site for the geek crowd
- Profiles allow lots of custom info
- Generous free tier
- Can hide profile from search/homepage
- Reasonable pricing
What I didn't like about Geek2Geek
- Profile pic upload issues with file formats
- Very small membership base
- No mobile app
- Doesn't seem regularly updated
- Features are pretty basic
Final thoughts for my Geek2Geek review
Great layout and loved all the different ways to search. Could use upgrades like a mobile app and less stringent profile pic process. The membership base was pretty limited and not much action going on. The free version is worth checking out, and if you like it, try the Silver membership!
