📝Who is the BiCupid dating app best for?

As the name suggests, BiCupid is best for bisexual and bicurious singles and couples who are looking to meet new people. This makes it a perfect site for those who aren't sure what their sexual preferences are. It's also inclusive of everyone (YAY!), so whether you're gay, lesbian, straight, trans, or other, you are welcome to explore the BiCupid universe.

Unlike other dating sites I've been on, the BiCupid dating site is less about finding the one, and more about exploring your sexuality - whatever that means to you. A lot of members are bisexuals looking for hookups, and you also have the option to meet couples and engage in threesomes if that's your thaaang.

Created in 2003, the BiCupid dating site is one of the largest (if not THE largest) bisexual dating site in the world with roughly 230,000 users visiting it monthly. 🤯

When I was looking at potentials, I noticed that pretty much everyone looked like a "real person" and I could even submit a valid ID to verify myself. If you're nervous about BiCupid's legitimacy for some reason, then you could just look for those with a verified profile. In case you need more convincing, most of the BiCupid reviews and success stories I've seen highlight its legitimacy as well.

The TL;DR on the BiCupid app

My first impression tbh was how impressed I was with the sign up process. For anyone who knows me, a fast and quick signup process is RARE, so I'm all about this site so far! Here's what else you might need to know:

How to delete BiCupid account: If you wanna delete your BiCupid account, it’s super easy! Just go to your profile, click on the gear icon, scroll down to the bottom, and tap on "delete/disable account". No being held hostage here. Love it.

What does sending a wink do? Sending a wink to another member lets you flirt with them without having to say a word. Kinda like when you see someone across the bar IRL, ya know?

Who can send a direct message? Pretty much anyone can send a direct message, but it depends on who you send it to. Users w/o a paying subscription can only send DMs to members who pay. You can see who has a paid membership when there is a green checkmark image near their profile name.

Is BiCupid free to use? Yup, there’s a free version, though it’s fairly limited imo.

Does BiCupid have an app?

OFC BBs! The BiCupid dating app is available to both iOS and Android users. It’s free to download and has more upgrades (and looks nicer!) than the desktop version. Some BiCupid app reviews mention that the app layout is sleeker and more compact than the desktop version (I agree!) Although, if your phone dies (😭) or you feel like checking out at work, you can still browse the desktop version at BiCupid.com.

So…. how do I sign up for BiCupid?

Signing up for BiCupid was so easy and fast! I love how you can fill out more detailed questions about yourself later in your profile (do you drink, smoke, etc.) to save time.

In less than 10 steps I was registered and ready to chat it up!

1. There are three different ways to sign up to BiCupid - email, FB, or Apple. I chose email.

   

2. Password time. Now please turn your head as I enter it in - no peeking!

   

3. Okayyy BiCupid, I see you! It’s rare that you get the option to create a username before, so I'm already intrigued.

   

4. This is one of the few times I’ve seen "couple" as a way to identify on a dating app…spicy!!

   

5. Then they provided options for who I was looking for, which were the same as what I identify as.

   

6. Now I add my DOB - FYI, you need to be at least 19 to sign up to BiCupid.

   

7. Next, BiCupid asked me for my location - I only live in the best city… NYC! Don't be a hater!

   

8. The next step is to add a photo. Time to flaunt me and my pretty mug! Excuse me while I scroll through my endless roll of selfies…

   

9. Bam! And just like that, I'm done in less than 10 steps! Instead of being dropped into the main feed, I'm shown my first potential match, which happens to be a couple.

   

   That little ghost/typing bubble thing in the lower right-hand corner lets me drop them a message. Matching with others is also set up Tinder-style where you swipe right or left.

   Even though I set my location, I'm shown people from various cities and countries. The first woman I'm shown is from London. This dating app also shows a lot of people with just their bodies or blurring out their own faces (like the couple who blurred their face in red).

What you can choose when setting up BiCupid.com profile

I don’t always include what the profile options look like before they’re usually added during the sign up process, but this had a bunch I could customize once I registered!

Here’s a snapshot before I added everything in. You’re able to add the language(s) you speak, education, occupation, the usual questions about smoking/drinking, children, astrological sign, annual income (idk if people actually tell the truth here) and even political views!

I could also add info about my personality, and preference for my matches so the algo gods can work their magic.

What search filters are avail on the BiCupid dating app?

As a free user, your search capabilities are pretty limited unless you upgrade your membership. If you wanna be a freeloader initially like me, here's what you can search for absolutely nothing:

• Gender.
• Location (region/anywhere).
• Age range.

At the bottom of the free search, there is a section that says "Premium Members Only" where you can search by:

• A smart search (clicking on that only prompts me to buy a membership, so not sure what this is).
• Only photos.
• Any distance.

I really liked exploring this site cuz I felt like there was enough to do for free that kept my interest.

Wanna know what BiCupid Premium costs? Tbh, the Premium subscription here is one of the most expensive I have seen so far, especially for one month @ $33.99/month! Even more expensive is obvi going for the yearly subscription @ $139.99 total.

So is the BiCupid cost for Premium worth it? Here's what you get:

• A diamond icon on your profile to show you're a Premium member. 💎
• Send messages to anyone - including non-paying users!
• View a list of people who liked your profile.
• Pin your fave messages so you see them front and center.
• Advanced filters.
• Know who looks at your profile more than once.
• Change username. (I find it interesting that this is a paid perk, but I guess you may have to hide out from someone that one time and change your name??)
• Access to certain apps like an auto-reply one when you’re offline!

Wow! When I list the BiCupid Premium perks like this (and I haven't even listed them all!) I realize that you sure get a lot more features when subscribing. So although the price is high, if you really like the BiCupid dating app, then I could see why you would subscribe.

What sets the BiCupid dating app apart from the rest?

BiCupid had a few different features that set itself apart from the regs. What are they, you ask? I’m glad you asked (even though you know I’m gonna tell you anyway).

Here's some unique features that caught my eye:

• You can hook up with couples.
• The app center offers a lil’ break from swiping or liking people.
• You can upload private photos.
• You can verify your profile by uploading a valid ID.
• The community aspect with jokes, date ideas, and events!

My pros and cons of the BiCupid app

There was a lot to love about BiCupid, but what about those that I didn't like? Keep reading my BiCupid app review to find out what I liked and didn't like about this dating app cause y’all know I’ll be honest with you.

What did I like about BiCupid dating?

BiCupid def intrigued me and brought some new things to the table that I've never experienced before. Here's what I liked about BiCupid dating:

• Plenty of options (not just a bi-dating site or a straight dating site, it's got someone for everyone!). I especially liked the couples option because it's different and interesting.
• You can meet people locally or in different countries.
• You can message others back and forth for free (as a free user you can only message paying users)
• You can pin messages to come back to, so they don’t get lost.
• I got a lot of messages over the first few days of using the app that seemed genuine (outside of some of the ‘canned’ messages I talk about in the next section). It wasn’t crickets like some of the other apps.

What didn't I like about BiCupid dating?

Cupid missed a few shots with their arrow, but thankfully there were more hits than misses. Here's what I felt was lacking with BiCupid dating:

• Members are looking mostly for casual hookups (not a con in my book, but had to point it out for those looking for their special person).
• The fact that people could blur out their photos or only use their bodies as their profile (Hi, nice to meet your sexy six-pack abs?)
• Since it's mostly a hookup app, the convos aren't exactly groundbreaking.
• Some of the initial messages felt like “canned” ones like “Hi, your profile is really cool!” I got quite a few of those over the first week I was signed up.

So, is BiCupid worth it?!

After signing up, spending time on the site, and creating this BiCupid review, is BiCupid worth it?

When my friend first told me about BiCupid and how it was for casual dating, I was like, welllll I can do that IRL for free. WRONG. These people are gorgeous, fun, sexy, and all in one app! I had a lot of matches and messages the first week I signed up, no obnoxious pictures DMed to me (you know the kind I’m talking about), and the messages didn’t feel like spambots. I had quite a few genuine ones on there getting to know people!
